Omg. What a SCAM! I’d be furious. DO NOT accept that dress. No offense but it looks cheap and stingy. Get the dress of your dreams! ๐Ÿ™‚ You’ll be way happier in the end. Don’t settle for this crap and demand a refund!! I personally wouldn’t trust him to make you another dress. It’s obvious he can’t handel the beautiful details on the dress you originally wanted so I’d pull the plug on this and go after what you really want. The dress you are wanting, looks GORGEOUS.

I ordered a dress from him too after reading some good reviews here. I placed the order on 24th Feb and paid for a rush order fee to have it in three weeks time. I supposed to have the dress these two days, but when I asked him today, he told me the dress will be ready in one week! I then reminded him of my rush order and he promised to have the dress ready in three days. Let’s see what will happen…

My wedding is in a month time, but I am not quite sure the quality of dress after recent negative reviews. Luckily after reading some negative reviews a couple of weeks ago I decided to get a sample dress from local bridal store. It is much more expensive but at least I know things will not go wrong. I think it does worth the extra money to put me in a control situation rather than waiting for sth unknown

Unless you have plenty of time to get the problem fixed in case things go wrong, I will not suggest for replica …

Lesson learned… will see what happen to this custom made dress…

I finally got pictures of my dress!!! It looks exquisite! He did leave out the corset back which I had requested. He said it will take a few hours to fix that and then he is shipping it DHL for free because of the delay! I can’t wait to get it! I have attached a pic of the original and a pic of MY DRESS…what do you think? I think it looks pretty dang good!

Yes, this looks much more like the Sabelle.

I was worried for you for a second. I hope when he sends it, it’ll be what you expected.

I had a Jeff Liu gown and it was a major dissapointment. I didn’t even receive a full refund. I am 100% against him and his quality. Some of these gowns have been nice but I feel that there are other trustworthy sites with excellent communation and customer service.

Dressilyme

Coralsbridal

Milly Bridal

Monicas Bridal

Babyonline

All of these have had positive reviews and very few misakes. I would say that I have seen more brides needing adjustments, remakes, and returns with Jeff Liu/April’s Bridal designs.

After days of delay and communication, I finally received the pictures of dress from him. Like some people here, I am not satisfied at all. So many things go wrong – the lace layer looks so cheap, many of the original design are missing; it can be seen that the dress has been rushed to finish. Although he has offered to make changes, I have decided not to have the dress as I don’t have time to wait for the change and I am not really sure if he will make it right. In the end, he offered me 80% refund, and I accepted it as I don’t want to waste any of my time anymore. It seems to me that he has so many orders that he cannot keep up the schedule or quality standard.

I really would like to thank you for those posting their honest/negative reviews. It is because of reading these, I decided to get a sample dress in case things go wrong. Otherwise, I don’t know how I will be doing now.

@april2011:

Thanks for posting your experience. Its always good to hear an honest review good or bad. I had the same problem with Jeff Liu and didn’t even receive an 80% refund. Only a 50%. it seems he doesn’t deal honestly with his customers and doesn’t follow any standards for customer service. That is my biggest issue after the quality.

I would never recommend his services based on my experience.

@Future Mrs Morison: OK, that’s more like it! Makes me feel better. I hope you’ll post more photos when you get it w/ a complete review.

@april2011: Sorry to hear this, I know it must be horrible when this happens… care to share the photos here?

@ Future Mrs Morison It looks great! I was too scared to try ordering a more complicated dress from China, but it looks beautiful! It took another day for Jeff Liu to send pictures of the altered back adding the corset laces (which he had neglected, even though it was in the first request) and now I am waiting 2 more days for a tracking number, which he promised to ship OVERNIGHT DHL. He said that DHL did not go to their office yesterday but will definitely go there today. I think the problem with “him” forgetting what he has promised is most likely because there are a few people answering the same email address. For this reason I ALWAYS repeat my specific requests in each email so that whoever answers me knows what I am talking about. That is just my guess, but it seems to have worked so far. I have been really stressed out waiting on my dress for so long since I can’t get my shoes, veil, or any accessories until I have the dress! I keep telling him this and he seems to be sensitive to my time issue… I hope that I get a tracking number in the next few hours. For girls who would like to order a dress from China, I can second advice that I personally ignored: Allow MONTHS of time if you want to try a knock off dress. That way you aren’t counting down less than a month to the wedding and still waiting for your dress. I ordered mine two months in advance and it isn’t here…
