I’m confused.  How come you didn’t return it after you took it home and realized it wasn’t of good quality?

And why would you take a ring that was not what you ordered?

I think you should just return after they switched it on you.  Don’t even waste your time on getting an appraisal.  Regardless if the ring is worth what you paid for it do you want a ring with visible inclusions to the naked eye?

Without proof the jeweller can always say that you had the diamonds switched out after you left the store with the ring. Never ever take possesion of the goods if they are not what you paid for. Once you leave the store you have very little recourse.

So when you originally bought it, it looked ok when you left the store?  That’s why I’m confused.  You think they switched it when you went to have it sized right?

I would just go in with the receipt and return it if you aren’t happy with it.

Just take it back.  Immediately.  Forget the appraisal – it is unnecessary and meaningless in this situation. And if you paid w/a credit card, see if you can cancel the payment.
