Hey there, the jeweler that we got my engangement ring from has now gone out of business.
I’d like to get the ring re-dipped as the white gold is starting to fade and I just want to get it looked at before the wedding. Can I take the ring to any ol’ jeweler? Are there repair jewelry stores out there?
If anyone in the Austin, TX area knows of a jewelry place to get my ring looked at, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you ladies, have a wonderful day and take care!!!

Hi! I’m not in Texas, but if I were you I’d take it to a local jeweler. You should be able to tell online (or call) and see if they do in house repair work. Im sure any jeweler would be happy to have your business, they shouldn’t mind that the ring was bought somewhere else at all. Good luck!

Go on yelp and just search for a jeweler. It will cost $10-$30 depending on the place but they should have it back to you in a day (some will have it done in a few hours).. Its no problem

Kruger’s Jewelers on South Congress did an amazing job repairing my ring when I had a few of the pave stones fall out. We got my ring at a diamond expo in IL, so that jeweler is obviously nowhere nearby! Kruger’s does great work, they didn’t charge me nearly as much as other jewelers had quoted me and I felt comfortable leaving my ring there! Hope that helps 🙂

From my research and understanding most jewellers would do this, particularly local jewellers. Quite a lot of local jewellers will even be doing the work on site or nearby so you would have the confidence of them not taking it too far away for the work.
