- Wedding: February 2013
I’m a very indecisive person, so I thought it would be helpful to have a long engagement to get everything done. Now the big day is 2 weeks away and I’m panicking over jewerly and hair. My girls live all over the place and they haven’t even seen my dress on yet, so it’s hard for them to help. Our wedding is a backyard/vintage chic feel but my dress is more romantic/elegant/over the top. I love it, but I’m not sure how to go with the jewerly and hair.
Here’s my dress (not a great pic, but the best I have right now):
Here’s the hair style I decided on:
Now my options come for jewelry and hair.
Option 1: A statement necklace and earrings. This was my first choice, but with my dress already very blingy, I didn’t know if it was too myc.
Option 2: A very simple necklace (I’m actually making these exact necklaces for my girls) and a pair of chandelier earrings.
I switched my hairstyle after my consultation, so I’m just going to trust that she is able to do this on the day of. She’s wonderful, so I have no doubt, but I didn’t get to see it on me. I originally was planning on buying a jeweled comb or flower pins, but I’m not sure on either or whether I really even need a hair accessory.
With only two weeks left, I just want to make a decision, but I’ve been thinking about this for weeks and at this point, it’s just become silly stress. I need to get these ordered before the weekend so they will be here in time but I keep pushing the decision off. Also, to make it even more complicated, I asked my fiance for this necklace, so I may it to wear for the reception, or may not.
At this point, I’m just ready to be done, sit on my couch with my husband and watch TV. Thanks for your help in advance, with my BP this weekend and that TOM mixed in, I’m done for.
