I just use dish soap and a baby toothbrush.  Works pretty well for me.

I got an ultrasonic cleaner for Christmas and am with you on how sparkly it makes my ring.  What I really love, though, is how awesome it is for cleaning my eyeglasses.  I just toss them in there every morning and it’s like they’re fresh from the optometrist.  Truly a joy for those who wear glasses every day!

I also got an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner for Christmas and I couldn’t be happier. I used to use a toothbrush and mild soap, but it would leave a slight film.

@frugal: I never even thought of putting my glasses in it. I will have to give it a try.

I don’t have a jewelry cleaner but a friend of mine that owns at jewelry store suggested windex and boiling water. So far so good!

Mine came from Walmart. I know they sell the cleaning solution there too, but the Ultrasonic comes with a starter package of cleaner.
