@GoldStar:  I have a diamond (lost the other earring) from an ex. I don’t even know if it’s real lol. But I have been wanting to sell it. It’s meaningless to me. You probably won’t get much for your stuff; it’s very hard to sell jewelry :/

i found a diamond heart pendant that came from helzberg. i have the receipt still too but it was from 6 years ago. i have no idea how much it cost or the tcw of the diamonds. i also dont know what to do with it. i wanted to trade it in towards my wedding band, but then thought that would be pretty weird. plus it wouldnt have helped that much anyway. i guess i could sell it to a pawn shop although i know id get next to nothing…

@GoldStar:  I actually second PP… Try the Gold Guys, if the gold is high in karats, they might give you a good chunk of change. I’m not sure about the diamonds on the other hand.

Jewelers won’t give you much. Find a Cash for Gold place.  They will pay you the going rate, current gold value,  for the gold. That would be your best bet to get your money’s worth out of it. I tried both, Jeweler wouldn’t give me squat for my stuff.  As I mentioned above, I got well over $1000 for mine. A place called “Treasure Hunt” around here.  There are places like that everywhere.  I took the money and Fiance and I took a nice vacation 🙂

ETA: I took my diamond e-ring from xhusband, they would only give me cash for the gold. They said they don’t pay for the diamonds, so they’d pop them out and give it back to me, the diamond…so I just hung onto the e-ring in hopes to give it to my daughter when she gets older, so she has something her father gave me.

I had some “cheap” jewelry from ex-boyfriends… gold and sterling silver.  I also took them to a cash for gold place.  Was quick and easy.  Im happy to have the items out of my possession.

If they’re actually worth something you could try to sell them on Pricescope’s PreLoved Forum.
