So, I realized tonight the necklace I had originally chosen doesn’t work with my dress! So – help me find something that will? I like large statement jewelry, and my wedding day will be no exception! Our theme is very vintage – my dress definitely has a deco-flair to it. Also – yes, I know my dress doesn’t fit right yet! It hasn’t been altered at all – it’s much more flattering when it’s fitting properly. 🙂 I’m literally wearing a sports bra and yoga pants under it in these, haha.
The necklace is much too white – where as everyting else is ivory!

SamGoesWest: Sometimes one thing we like doesn’t go well with another thing we like. I think a statement necklace is too much for your heavily beaded dress.
With the V neck on your dress,once it is fitted properly, I think a smaller pendant style necklace would work well- something with a nod to Art Deco, without being too thematic. It will lengthen the line of your bodice and bring attention to your decolletage in a classy manner.

julies1949: I agree that the statement piece is too much with your dress. I think a simple drop pendant would be best with such a beautifully beaded dress.

bellbee: julies1949: Thanks, but like I said, I will be going with a larger necklace. There are plenty of examples of beaded gowns pairing with larger necklaces. I tried the dress with a smaller necklace and it did not look right on my larger frame. Thanks anyways..
