I have a ring from Lauren B and I definitely think they are worth the extra money. I considered getting something cheaper from somewhere else but Lauren B was the only place I found to have the perfectly petite settings I wanted for my ring.

I think Lauren B is grossly overpriced and I’ve heard not so great stories about their quality and customer service. I’ve chatted back and forth with Jen a few times and she and her team seem phenomenal to work with. I just don’t care for her design aesthetic on her stock pieces, so a dainty halo wasn’t something I would’ve commissioned through her. (I started out wanting a halo and have since switched to a three stone.)

If you post inspo pics and a budget (if you’re comfortable) there are so many Bees willing to help! Also, Michael at Raven Fine Jewelers is fantastic. I’ve talked to probably 20 different Jewelers/vendors on my journey and decided to order loose stones from Tianyu and have David Klass make my setting. He’s by far the most reasonably priced for what you get and his craftsmanship is superb.

mrsskidmore :  I also have a Lauren B and it looks amazing, specially the prongs are to die for they are almost invisible. We went in person and it’s better if you do they can help you with pricing a little bit. But we are making our wedding bands with David Klass, he is in California I don’t know exactly where but I told him I’m going in person to pick up the rings next year.

abc321 :  I think Michael is in LA too. And unfortunately I don’t have pics yet because we’re still finalizing the design. It’s a custom 3 stone that I dreamed up. Lol. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve posted CADs over on the huge DK thread on here.

Another great company (out of Dallas) is The True Gem. Their pieces are stunning!

Do you have inspo pics?

We worked with Eddie and he was great. After they finished my ring although it was beautiful I told them I didn’t like the basket setting and they redid it to be more open underneath and got it done in a couple of days. (It was supposed to be exactly like the original ring that was on their site but for some reason they added more micro pave stems underneath which is probably something a lot of people like but for me I just really prefer a more open look at the bottom of the diamond). Also, my husband was able to talk them down and save $500 off the total cost by putting half down that day. We were in Maryland at the time so he did a bank wire transfer..I don’t know if the form of payment affects anything.

cabowedding2019 :  Their prongs are the best! Love the teeny tiny claws, you really can hardly see them.
