Hi bees! Has anyone used Jhollywood for a custom piece? I’m torn between her and Lauren B. but she is significantly less money than Lauren B. Wondering if anyone has any reviews… Thanks!!!

I have a ring from Lauren B and I definitely think they are worth the extra money. I considered getting something cheaper from somewhere else but Lauren B was the only place I found to have the perfectly petite settings I wanted for my ring.
I think Lauren B is grossly overpriced and I’ve heard not so great stories about their quality and customer service. I’ve chatted back and forth with Jen a few times and she and her team seem phenomenal to work with. I just don’t care for her design aesthetic on her stock pieces, so a dainty halo wasn’t something I would’ve commissioned through her. (I started out wanting a halo and have since switched to a three stone.)
If you post inspo pics and a budget (if you’re comfortable) there are so many Bees willing to help! Also, Michael at Raven Fine Jewelers is fantastic. I’ve talked to probably 20 different Jewelers/vendors on my journey and decided to order loose stones from Tianyu and have David Klass make my setting. He’s by far the most reasonably priced for what you get and his craftsmanship is superb.
Thank you so much for getting back to me! I too am looking for petit and dainty for everything from the prongs to the band so I’m being really picky. I’m going to look into Michael at Raven Fine Jewlers and David Klass. Do you know if either are in or near NYC? I can get to the city easily and much prefer to be able to see the work in person. Thanks! Do you have a pick of your ring!?
I concur with
Another great company (out of Dallas) is The True Gem. Their pieces are stunning!
Do you have inspo pics?
We worked with Eddie and he was great. After they finished my ring although it was beautiful I told them I didn’t like the basket setting and they redid it to be more open underneath and got it done in a couple of days. (It was supposed to be exactly like the original ring that was on their site but for some reason they added more micro pave stems underneath which is probably something a lot of people like but for me I just really prefer a more open look at the bottom of the diamond). Also, my husband was able to talk them down and save $500 off the total cost by putting half down that day. We were in Maryland at the time so he did a bank wire transfer..I don’t know if the form of payment affects anything.
