just kicked my butt! I just got the 30 day shred and did level 1 today. Holy crap, it was the best work out I’ve had in a really, really long time. 20 minutes sure did make me sweat. I would definitely suggest this to anyone.
Now I just need to stay motivated to do it for 30 days. picturing what I want to look like on the big day! I’ve already lost 8 lbs, and hopefully this will continue the loss with a nutritional diet full of happy fruits and veggies and void of beer and pizza. (screw you, monday night football!)
Things I would suggest: a set of light hand weights (I got 5 lbs to start with) and a really good floor mat.
Has anyone else had success with Jillian? or liked any of her other DVDs?

I’m glad to hear that this is working for you! I bought it right before I found out I was pregnant so I only used it a few times. I’m ready to get back into my workouts now and trying to motivate to pull this dvd out and start hitting it.

I started it Sunday evening. It was one of the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I’m still so sore from the first two days so I’m going to do the elliptical today. I’ve also read that if you alternate shred and elliptical it helps weight loss and toning at the same time. And I’m actually trying to find where I placed my 3lb hand weights because the 5 are killing me.

If you just tried it for the first time, wait until tomorrow! I love her DVDs. I just ordered her yoga DVD and the “Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism” one which I heard is a good cardio workout. Can’t wait for them to get here!

The 30 Day Shred is really tough! I love it but I’ve never made it through the 30 days. I usually give up after three and go back to running on the treadmill lol. Kudos to anyone who can make it through the whole thing!

@mandb122: I read somewhere that in one of her dvds, she’s like “I bet you’re wondering why I’m using 3 lb weights…” made me think that I might want to bump it down, because my arms were definitely slagging at the end!
My roommate has a stationary bike, I plan on alternating the two throughout the week.
I’ll let you guys know how I’m doing after 10 days! I’m feeling pretty enthusiastic about losing for my wedding that’s 6 months away, so hopefully I can keep it up.
