I am SO excited because I got my Jillian Michaels DVD’s FINALLY today (I live in Canada, and it takes a month for shipping apparently). I ordered them because I have a very short engagement period and limited to get in shape, and some weight to lose (okay, a LOT but let’s be realistic) ! I am a bit of a yoyo-er, I love great food and hate working out on a treadmill. I am very active in the summer, eat healthy, but the Canadian winters KILL me! My Fiance love to dine out on sushi, thai food etc and so I can easily throw on 20 pounds over the winter then peel them off in the summer.
So here we are–we got engaged at the end of February 2012, the wedding is the beginning of August, and I need to drop 50 lbs. I tried a program to diet but it is just not happening. Also, it still doesn’t address the toning issues I have. I need an intervention!
What better way than to be accountable here…so I thought I’d post my daily review of the program and also would love to chat with other brides that are doing this program to agonize-I mean-share in the joy as we work through this program.
And PLEASE, feel free to join in-I could really use some support here 🙂
Current weight: 205
Goal weight in three months: 165

I know what you mean about Canadian winters!! It’s very hard to stay motivated when there are no additional excuses to exercise, like taking long walks instead of driving, and no sunny days to perk up your mood!
Good luck with this new program!

Thank you, DBD!!!! )
I started the workout today–I am just getting over the flu so I took it a bit easy. I have the grocery list which I am going through as following the diet is a lot of the battle. I am doing the shopping this weeding and watching what I eat right now…starting officially Sunday.

So how’s it going? I love to hear how your month has been! I just ordered JMBR the other day, but won’t be starting for about a month because the DVDs will be shipped to the US, and I’ll pick them up when we visit family but start the programme when I get home.
From my understanding, the diet has a lot of incredients I probably won’t be able to find where I’m at. But, I still plan to try to eat 1200 calories of mainly protein and vegetables.

@Mrs.LemonDrop: I would check to make sure that you should be eating 1200 calories a day while exercising. Sometimes you have to eat a bit more to really lose weight, you need to fuel your body to do this extra work.

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: That’s what the diet part is set for. I have a BodyMedia armband though so if it shows that the calorie deficit is huge, I’ll up it some after the first week

I hate the diet part of her program and I haven’t followed it. I am working out and feeling healither, but have had an incredibly stressful week and ruined my workouts and diet by couch surfing this week and feeling incredibly demotivated. Overall, I have lost 2 inches from my waist and the scale has moved a few pounds-but I didn’ t follow her diet.
I am following it again (restarting) today–the first few weeks are really HARD, you work out 2 times a day for the first week and can’t move. I literally looked like igot off a bull after my workout.

@fivemonthsnotice: haha good to hear. Are you re-starting from the beginning? And if you don’t mind me asking, how often did you work out before starting the programme?
