Hi there! I’ve done 30DS a few times now, and the first time I did it, I only lost around 3lbs… BUT I lost a ton of inches. The second time, I combined 30DS with some other dvds here and there, mostly additional cardio – and lost 9lbs! That DVD was my saviour when I started to be serious about losing weight.

Right now, I’m doing Ripped in 30, Jillian’s latest DVD and she has a bunch of other great ones that I cycle through as well. Good luck, and welcome to the Bee!

I did the dvd’s as well as going to the gym and I have lost a total of 12lbs in about 5 weeks or so.  However, I think most of the weight loss was from the gym and the tightening from the videos. I did the 30ds before and only lost 2lbs in a month.

I haven’t used the DVD’s that you purchased but I have a few other Jillian Michael’s DVDs.  I used them religiously when I was preparing for my wedding.  I don’t think I lost a ton of weight with them, however, I was really more toned than I had ever been.  She seems to always incorporate moves that will focus on as many different muscle groups at once.  I really not a DVD workout kinda girl, I don’t like hearing the same things over and over again.  But I really liked these, I just had to play my music over her 🙂  I think you’ll like it if you’re dedicated to the programs.

I did a combo of 30 day shred and burn fat, boost metabolism before the wedding and lost about 15 pounds. Of course, after the wedding I gained it all back 🙁 So now I’m doing Ripped in 30, Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism, and 6 week six pack and counting calories and I’m almost back to wedding weight!

Jillian’s DVDs will help you loose inches and they tighten up your body quite a bit. You’ll be in great shape! But I’ve found I need to supplement them with healthier eating if I want to LOSE weight and not just maintain my weight or tighten up my body.

@Treasure43 – I know that feeling – I got down to 131 for the wedding and then by christmas (three months later) i was back up to 145. I’m down to 134.2 now doing Ripped in 30, so getting there! I’m starting to add cardio in as well.
