I wore one as a bridesmaid a year ago.  It was floor length silk satin…ran me about $230 plus alterations.  I have to say out of all the bridesmaid dresses I have ever worn (5 total), this was my favorite.  It’s unlikely I will ever wear it again, but I it was beautifully constructed and fit great.  I’ve paid $200 for a Dessy dress that was poorly made of synthetic materials and I’d rather have spent that money on a Jim Hjelm.  I’m a huge fan of J.Crew too, but I still liked the JH better!

As vaness13181 said, my bridesmaids are wearing JH and they cost about $230 plus alterations. They are beutiful and high quality. I love them. Here is a picture of my sister wearing hers, I look weird in the pic though.

I looked into a couple and they ran around $300 but I think it was more expensive because they had lace. But I got a quote from an online authorized bridal store and they were around $230-$240.

My girls are wearing a Jim Hjelm Occasions. At the salons they were in the $225 range for my EIGHT bridesmaids (i.e. bulk discount). We’re getting them from Pearls Place for $175, which isn’t bad considering DB can run you $150.

They’re going to be eggplant.

Oh, I also think they’re worth the price tag and they have the best maternity options (while only a few) imho. I can’t believe how many people try and offer nothing BUT strapless maternity dresses…. my pregnant “maid” is stoked about the one she’s wearing and it’s the same material and color as the others 🙂

My BMs are wearing Jim Hjelm and I believe all the dresses are between $180 and $230.

My girls also did Jim Hjelms. They wore short dresses in tissue taffeta that cost between $140 and $170.

I wore JH as a bridesmaid last year and it was a great dress (I have worn it again).  Mine was about $250+ alterations.

i was also wondering this question…i have to imagine that shorter dresses would be a little less expensive, yes?

@Mrs. Meowerson:  I am sure that is the case with a lot of bridesmaid dresses, but it also depends on the material the dress is made of as well.
