An eleven year old…well, if you wanted, she could still be a flower girl. If she doesn’t go for that, you can have her help pass out programs, or things to use during the ceremony (if you’re having wishing rocks, or a candlelit moment, for example).

I would suggest a reading, but I’m not sure if you would want her to be one of your readers.

She could be a junior bridesmaid (I know that standard age for that is 12-16, or whatever, but if you feel like she’s mature enough you can bend the rules).

My aunt and uncle made me a "guest book" attendant when I was about 8 b/c my younger sister was the flower girl and they didn’t want me to feel left out. I didn’t do anything but sit there and hand people the pen but I felt important. Eventually I got bored and went and sat with my parents.

I assigned my 14 year old cousin as photo guest book attendant, she was very excited, i made sure to tell her i dont expect her to spend the whole time there, just get people started, she is super social so I think she’ll have fun.

I am having ours be in charge of putting chocolates in our wedding favor tins.  It’s an easy job but it will help her feel included.  You can also have your cousin hand out programs as people come through the door and have her mom serve as the person who seats the person.

We had our 10 year old cousin, who is mildly autustic, pass out the petal cones.  He had a hard time with this job, so his parents helped him out.  He was just happy to be included in the wedding as his younger sisters were.  Any job you can think of should be fine.  Usually the girls just want to wear the dress.  This was a boy cousin, and he thought that the tux was really cool.
