(Closed) Job related: Reason for Leaving

Well, what I’ve gone with for a few past jobs is that I felt like I wanted some different experience. However, I don’t know if “toxic environment” would be so bad to say if HR got involved! That way, potential employers know it’s not just you being a baby or something, haha! I’m not sure though!

I’d avoid toxic environment or another similar line, because the employer might wonder if you have trouble getting along with coworkers. (cause there can be personal conflicts in every job)

Try to stick to something fairly truthful, possibly:

“I am feeling ready to move on to new challenges” or

“I want a chance to develop new skills and increase my range of work experiences”

@nyebride: You’re in a tough situation. In truth, it is good to regularly change jobs in this day and age. Staying in one position too long is often seen as a negative for employers in many industries. So even if its not your motivation for leaving you can feel ok saying it, because moving and an acquiring new skills will help your career in the long term.  Good luck job hunting. 🙂
