@KatNYC2011:

I was interviewing them a little bit haha. Last night as I was going to sleep, I was going back over the q’s asked and answered and I think I did a pretty good job. I can’t put my finger on why that job isn’t my #1, but I’m just going to go with my gut.

Well, I didn’t get either job.I guess the admin position didn’t bother to call, but the ad has been taken down. Darn! I made a new business connection today that might lead to some freelance work, so that’s something at least.

Back to the drawing board…

@katnyc2011 I work for a finance company in the city of London and they are always taking on BAs as contractors. I don’t want to put the name of the company on here but if you PM me I’ll give you the company name. Just send your cv in via the website.

I interviewed 2 candidates for a role today who had submitted their cv via website rather than by agency….

I’m not sure what it is you do exactly so I don’t want to get your hopes up, if the roles aren’t for you, but there are definitely vacancies for analysts with finance backgrounds. …

and I don’t get comm

I’ve been feeling pretty bummed about not getting that veterinary job so just started looking again this week. I found a job that is similar to what I already do, but with benefits & salary & I have an interview tomorrow morning. I’m so excited & nervous! & they said they’re excited to meet me :).

@Eva Peron:  Thanks! I run my boss’ company, I do everything there to keep it going, I guess I’m the office manager now lol. The dilemma is if I quit, he’ll probably close business so I was looking for something part-time so I could work at both places.

Didn’t get the job.  They sent me a letter.  I’m not super surprised as I nearly didn’t even apply for the job, but they said they would call so getting the letter is a bit more disappointing.

well I’m back from the Interview… The lady was nice, but I got the feeling she wasn’t to thrilled with my availability when it comes to a trial run (I currently have a part time position as a Nanny, I’m not quitting my job for a maybe) so I was bummed. Then as I was getting on the bus from the subway I saw I had an email… she said that she still has more people to interview but thinks I’d be perfect for another job in a different dept so she’s forwarding my info onto the head of that dept… I guess the trip wasn’t a total waste lol.

@Eva Peron:  Honestly I couldn’t see much of the place, they had me wait by the security guard until the woman I Interviewed with came in, and then she brought me down a small hall into a conference room lol. But from what I’ve learned about the company through their website and what the woman spoke about it sounds like there is an opportunity for me to get my creative groove on lol if they hire me.
