(Closed) Jon and Kate plus Eight….

It depressed me to watch the premiere. I couldn’t believe some of the things that have changed – like Jon’s SPORTS car, Kate pushing away the kids to do an interview, Kate getting ready while her kids run around, and her wearing heels?? And a skirt? What the heck is going on??

During the premiere, I hardly laughed. I only laughed hard at the freakin’ bunny cause the kids were crowded all around it. That’s the main reason I watched the show, because of their adorable kids! NOT because of Jon or Kate or their paparazzi. If you compare the kids’ 3rd birthday to their 5th one, there’s A BIG difference! Lots of family was included in the 3rd birthday…on their 5th birthday, not one.

My Fiance and I related to Jon and Kate’s relationship in terms of me wearing the pants, and him being told what to do. However, unlike Kate, I don’t boss my Fiance around anymore, and I thank him every single time he does something like wash the dishes on his own. It makes me sad to see Kate still bossing Jon around.

My Fiance and I promised each other that if we EVER got to the point where Jon and Kate are, we promised to lock ourselves together in a room till we talk and resolve whatever problem we may have. I think that’s what Jon and Kate need to do. Lock themselves in a room, away from the whole world, hash it out, REMEMBER what’s important….for their kid’s sake.

leen – good call on the car!  I’m a car-lover and it surprised me that he would drive a 350Z, considering it’s not really practical, at least not for a family man of 8.  then again, driving that big ole van would make me want a smaller car too.

Anyone thinks that it’s staged, just to hype up the new season?  Hmmm…..

If their marriage is falling apart, there’s no reason for them to stay together, just for their children (as the last statement of the episode).

It’s all so sad. I think being on reality television in general was probably the beginning of the end for Jon and Kate, hopefully though they are strong enough to work through it…but it sure didn’t look like it. I know the show is edited so we see what the producers see..but it was just so SAD. Someone earlier said they didn’t laugh during the episode and I agree, I used to love watching because it was so cute and fun…now it’s just sadsadsad.
