If you are offered any free personal trainer classes I recommend taking FULL advantage of them.  I got four free ones and now pay for the service, but it is SO worth it.  He gets me to do things I would have NEVER done on my own.  And it will really help with the whole “everyone is staring at me omg i quit!” thing.

Good luck!! Im trying to get back in shape myself after the wedding I gained 10 pds!! and funny thing is I never even lost any weight for the wedding so Ijust gained lol

Definitely remember to take the strength training classes they arent that fun imo but muscle burns more fat and the classes make you strength train for an hr vs if i did it myself Id probably do 3 reps of back arm stuff and i’d be done =D

Good for you, girl!

Definitely try some of the classes: I found when I started going that finding a class I loved gave me something to look forward to, and you also get to know people in your class…helps motivate to keep going back when you are going to see familiar friendly faces!

Plus your instructor will watch you to make sure you’re doing the moves right so you don’t hurt yourself or anything.

Good luck!

SO and I will be joining one soon too. I hurt my back and was basically told I needed to start swimming by my ortho. Since I’m the same as you, always taking advantage of any free gym, I’m actually excited to join a real gym.
