Is it Ok for my fiance and I to give one gift to my parents, and one gift to his parents for our wedding? We know that there are gifts out there for each individual parent, but we’re trying to save what little money we have left, but still thank them for all of their help. Any ideas?

Our gift to both sets of our parents will be a photo album from the wedding, which I’ll let them choose the pictures for. My photographer does these, but for a pretty expensive price. So I’m thinking I’ll just put the albums together on Shutterfly. They both helped a lot with all of the details of the day, many of their family members were there, and they had a blast – so I know they will appreciate pictures to remember the day by.

One gift is fine, an album, nice frame with picture, or gift certificate to restauarent.

If your parents are still together, then yes, sure, a joint gift would be fine.

It’s totally fine to give a joint gift!!! We gave my parents a joint gift- a wine bottle engraved with a message from us in a nice wine box with their names and wedding date engraved on it. They loved it! We did give my dad a small present because our wedding was on his birthday- I gave him a nice frame with a picture of me from my bridals holding a sign that said “Forever your little girl”, but that was because it was his birthday. We didn’t get DH’s parents anything though, because they weren’t very involved in the planning.
