- Wedding: September 2011
Hey ladies! I thought I would just do one recap…but then my photographer gave me a disc with 1,600 images!
We all did our own makeup. That was one of my first requests to my mom, and she happily agreed. At my sister’s wedding, her professionally done makeup actually flaked off, so we were both pretty happy with that decision. It was actually more expensive than just getting it done, though. I spent about $250 on products, and that was with a 10 percent off Sephora coupon! The black case below is my travel makeup case. 🙂
Obligatory dress photo:
Fun story: I was completely upset over my alterations. I bought the dress so that it would cover my pretty large chest (and because I loved it, but it was a major selling point). First of all, when we went to pick it up the hem had only been half done and the lady acted like she was doing me a favor by fixing it the next day when she had a vacation scheduled for the day after that :/. But beyond that, it was so tight that my chest was up to my chin! My lovely bridesmaids saved the day and moved the hook over closer to the edge where it should have been anyway. Blech.
I started feeling like Belle about this time and I was really impressed with how large the skirt was, lol. Now I either look really fascinated with my dress or like a big dork. Feel free to draw your own conclusions ;).
I couldn’t get my earrings in. Luckily I have the best friends in the world and they lent a hand :).
Mom makes fun of me for this photo, but I have really bad acid reflux so I have about six pictures of me taking various stomach medicine :).
The morning was kind of hectic. We were running about half an hour late anyway, and then we arrived at the venue to find that one of our Tiffany’s toasting flutes (an engagement gift from my sister) had been broken accidentally. Dad ran back to the house, and got them. In the meantime, we waited until he arrived to do the first look photos. I was pretty happy to see him.
And on to the pre-ceremony photos! If anyone in the area wants any vendor recommendations, I’d be more than happy to talk to you about any of them!
