mrsm42712:  Congratulations! I’m 4w1d today so am also very early. That’s great that you’re getting an early scan. My first scan’s booked for 6w3d, which I’m very happy about.  ๐Ÿ™‚

missadventure85:  FX for you, those numbers are looking much better! I’m sorry you have to go through this stress.

Does anyone have any advice for how to get through a horrible cold without drugs? I’ve been using steam inhalation and saltwater gargles but that doesn’t help me at night — I’ve hardly slept the last few nights due to congestion and waking myself up coughing. :/

autumnvee:  no advice, just sympathy…I’ve also had a cold for a week and haven’t taken anything for it…and sleep has not been good.  One of my docs when I was early in pregnancy (around where you are) said I could take Benadryl for an allergic reaction.  It’s pregnancy class B (you can google what that means).  I ended up not taking it because I’m a worrier.  But it would also help with congestion and sleep.  I’d ask your own OB first though.

I read this daily while feeding super late into the night, but I’m terrible at posting! Thank you ladies for the congratulations! Also I totally wouldn’t mind a Facebook graduates group. Love the Nov group on Facebook. Easier to post quickly. And one handed ๐Ÿ˜‰

MechEBee:  love seeing your little bub! So happy!

nyckitten:  ugh, hope you’re feeling better! But babe will be here before you know it!

autumnvee:  congrats!! So happy to see you here! FX for a super sticky and healthy pregnancy!

KatiePi:  So exciting! Crazy when they tell you the effacement and dilation and you have no idea. I walked around for about a week at 90% effaced and 4cm dilated with my daughter. At the end of the week I went into labor!

missadventure85:  Thinking of you and hoping for some good news soon!

howsweetitis:  Obsessed with the quilt. Seriously it’s soo beautiful! You obviously must post here if you ever do open an etsy shop ๐Ÿ™‚

Kay1126:  What a precious baby boy! Congrats! Hope you’re loving being a mama!

happyheartbee:  yay for 10 weeks! So awesome! Glad you are slowly getting excited!

4littlekitties:  GL I hope that baby chooses to come on his/her own before then!!

Swizzle:  So funny about the triplets being natural. Summer after college I nannied for a family with 1 y/o triplets and a 4 year old. It was insane but the mom would tell me stories of how rude and outright people were with their questions. They would ask her if they were natural and she would reply with yes, I think they’re humans, AND they were delivered vaginally!! That usually shut them up pretty quick.

missadventure85:  Great number!!! FX for your ultrasound!!

mrsm42712:  So glad to see you here!! Great you’re getting an early scan and FX so hard that bebe looks perfect!

autumnvee:  yay for early scan! Boo for the cold! I had a HORRIBLE chest cold when I was pregnant with Dear Daughter, I bruised a couple ribs from coughing so hard and it was absolute misery. So I definitely comisserate with you. Try a really good humidifier really close to you maybe on your nightstand next to your bed. Also maybe try some Unisom? My OB recommends it for nausea in the first tri but it is a sleep aid and is safe for pregnancy so it may help a little with the sleep?

Sorry for the massive catch up post. I’m 7 weeks tomorrow and feeling the first tri extreme exhaustion and nausea. I had my 3rd ultrasound with my RE yesterday and baby measured perfectly, still a week ahead. Saw the HB flickering away at 156 bpm! Each early scan is giving me hope that this one will stick and we will have another little baby in our arms come July. I got transferred back to my regular OB and will see him again on Dec. 15th. Anxious for the second trimester and trying to remain hopeful that this little nugget is snuggled in there tight. I can’t believe how different the first trimester is with a toddler around. And I’m a SAHM! Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

rosegoldgirl:ย  I’m not a good example for hiring a doula…we hired ours around 36 weeks, which is really late! ย And I didnt really do any research…there are two doula “clearinghouses” of sorts in my area and I just filled out their online forms specifying what tier of doula I wanted (different tiers have different experience and prices)…we were only interested in the least expensive tier and there was just one doula that fit that criteria available for my due date. ย We met her and liked her, and that was that! ๐Ÿ™‚

lalalalauren:ย  glad your ultrasound was good!!ย

nyckitten:  Thanks for the sympathy! I’ve already seen my GP and she just said rest and steam inhalation, but I’ve been having trouble getting the rest. Anyway, I slept a bit better last night and I seem to be over the worst of it now. Can soon go back to enjoying the morning sickness in peace.

mrsm42712: MechEBee: lalalalauren:  It’s great to see some other ladies from the MC TTC boards on here. FX that we all get to stay for a looong time. ๐Ÿ™‚

lalalalauren:  Thanks for the tip about the Unisom! I’ll check with my OB to see what she thinks. It doesn’t seem to be too easy to get hold of here in Australia. Congrats on the good scan, that’s great news!

mrsm42712:  Welcome!  Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months!

lalalalauren:  It’s great that your scans are going well!  Mine hit right about that time as well, then started to let up around 11 weeks.  Good luck in the next few weeks!

I have my fetal echo scheduled this upcoming Monday to take a better look at the babies heart.  I’m hoping that everything turns out okay, or at least that we come out of this with something definate.

rosegoldgirl:  auggiefrog:  nyckitten:  happyheartbee:  saratiara2:  Turtle83:  lalalalauren:  Thank you ladies for the sweet comments about my quilt! If I were a little faster, I would totally make one for each of you! Unfortunately, that quilt took me about twenty hours, lol, so I’d probably have to drop out of my PhD program.

auggiefrog:  I am still checking my peanut’s heartbeat too, even though I’m definitely feeling her movement! I’m glad that you are getting your fetal echo so soon! I hope the next few days pass quickly for you and that your results are all positive.

Kay1126:  Oh my sweet goodness, look at him!! Congratulations! Sending you love as you experience the joy of new motherhood while coping with the pain of your prior loss. <3

happyheartbee:  This is such wonderful news! I am so happy for you!! Almost done with the first tri!!

4littlekitties:  Any updates, mama?

Turtle83:  Argh, I’m so sorry to hear that you still aren’t feeling him too clearly. I hope you feel him more and more as he gets bigger and bigger these last ten weeks!

Swizzle:  So happy to hear that your anatomy scans all are great! You’re doing a great job with those three, mama!!

missadventure85:  I’m so happy to hear about your beta! Any updates from yesterday’s beta?

mrsm42712:  Congratulations! The first few weeks are so hard. I’ll be hoping and praying they pass smoothly and quickly for you!

autumnvee:  I hope you feel better soon! I have no suggestions, I took Tylenol, Mucinex, and Afrin during my cold!

nyckitten:  Yuck, I hope you are feeling better and are able to get some sleep!!

lalalalauren:  Where’s that sweet little gecko baby pic?! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ So happy for you, sweetie!

AFM, starting to feel Puffin moving around in there! This morning I was listening to her on the Doppler and could feel and hear her moving! It was so neat. Full anatomy scan is in 13 days, and I can’t wait!

Checking in…36+3 today. Had my checkup yesterday and am still 50% effaced and slightly more dilated. He said a solid 2 or 2+. It was reassuring! I’m not ready for baby to come yet and hope he holds off until 39+ weeks!
