ruby26:  that’s amazing!!!  I remember being a complete wreck for the first few weeks of my first trimester. I convinced myself I was MCing almost every day. It very slowly gets better. Try to give yourself as many distractions as possible.

Hey ladies! Just wanted to say hi – I see there’s lots of charters here, so happy for you all! My due date group went to FB and since then I’ve barely been on WB. I have been wondering how many of you are doing 🙂 I’m 35+4 with a baby boy from our first IVF round (after 4 IUIs and a very early loss). It has been a very hard pregnancy but worth it of course! I have an amniotic fluid leak from an amniocentesis at 16 weeks, where I got severe bronchitis just afterward so the coughing prevented the hole from sealing. Pprom of sorts, technically, but slightly different because I did not lose all the fluid at once and have miraculously been able to maintain it (well, most of the time, it’s up and down) through strict bed rest for 5 months, at least a gallon of water a day, strict infection precautions, etc. The fact that the leak was very high in the sac saved the pregnancy but it was touch and go for months. Since late December I’ve been closely monitored constantly. I also have an extremely severe case of GD and have twice-weekly NSTs and Biophysicals. Those have gotten non-reactive and scary lately so I will be induced on Monday at 36+1 if nothing goes wrong before then with the remaining NSTs. The amlnio showed a very healthy little guy – we are worn out but grateful and could not have survived without the exceptionally generous help of friends and family and colleagues and particularly my DH, who is a saint that has kept our life functioning with me out of commission. What a journey. Just mentally preparing now in these last few days and praying we can get him here safely – he’s been a tough little fighter. Going to read back on the thread now in hopes of catching up with y’all to find out how everyone is doing!!!

We got our NIPT results on Thursday – very low risk for any aneuploidies and it’s a BOY!  We went public on Facebook with the following picture and a caption that briefly mentioned our struggle.  I told my students on Friday and they were freaking out; they are SO excited!

arielmerms:  yay!!!!! So awesome!!! I remember being pregnant with my daughter when I was teaching and they were soo happy and excited when I told them I was pregnant. They were obsessed with the baby my whole pregnancy and then when they got to meet her after. It’s such a special and fun way to get excited yourself! Yay for a healthy boy too! very cute announcement!

Mrs. Jaguar:  At 18 weeks along with this one I was expecting to feel all kinds of movement having it be my second. I didn’t feel anything til 20-21 weeks with either. Thanks to anterior placentas both times. Hang in there those kicks are coming!

Mrs. Jaguar:  I didn’t feel any movement until around 27 weeks, and it was barely noticeable that I wasn’t even sure if it was the baby. I didn’t feel any clear movement until 33 weeks I think. I had an anterior placenta and the lack of feeling movement until way past the 3rd trimester was stressful.

Hello everyone, it’s been quiet on this board but I’m glad to see so many positive updates. I’m still trucking along at 27 weeks. I’ve recently switched from my lovely OB to a midwife so that I may have the type of natural birth I want (let’s hope baby complies).
