RunnerBride13 :  Yeah, even though PIO seems scarier, i think it’s better than crinone, because once you do it, you’re done for the day!

JLBB-brooklyn :  hooray for a healthy baby girl!!! I am so excited for you, I was totally expecting a boy!

arielmerms :  exclamation points ftw!!!

Aqualov :  I have not, I didn’t realize it helped after you have a rash. Ill get some, thanks for the tip!

Ugh, I had a bit of light brown spotting this morning, which isn’t surprising given the SCH, but still, it’s unnerving. Monday’s ultrasound can’t come fast enough!

JLBB-brooklyn :  Congrats on the healthy girl!! All the fun shopping for matcking headbands πŸ™‚

MattieK :  Sorry for the spotting…it sucks every time. But with SCH, spotting is totally normal. I am almost 12 weeks and stil spot on and off to this day (just had some this am). It started right after FET, before the positive beta, and still continuing. Super annoying and scary.

Ham1320 :  Hi there. Just stalking and following along. Like Turtle, I couldn’t feel my DS move until 26-27 weeks with an anterior placeta.

MattieK :  I’m glad to hear they are weaning you off the PIO. I’m not going to an RE this time, but my OB prescribed suppositories for me so I’d feel better. I forgot to bring them with me over the weekend and I didn’t spot, so I’ve been thinking of discontinuing use.

Turtle83 :  Thank you–very comforting to hear.

MattieK :  Dopplers aren’t accurate for twins otherwise I’d own one πŸ™ Sorry to hear about the poison ivy–hope it gets cleared up soon! Spotting is sooo common with SCHs so I wouldn’t worry too much!

arielmerms :  Thank you!

JLBB-brooklyn :  So happy to hear about your healthy baby girl–congrats!!!

alove2 :  Good to know–I’ll just have to sit tight and wait I guess lol

AFM, my appt went really well!! Perfect anatomy scan–baby boy is measuring a few days ahead and baby girl is measuring a few days behind but my MFM was not worried. My cervix is still nice and long which is comforting. I go back again in 2 weeks for another cervical check but so far, so good πŸ™‚ I’m letting my mom move ahead with our baby shower since things seem to progressing well. I told Darling Husband we may even be able to make a little annoucement in October once the babies are 24 weeks (viability for twins) or when we send out our baby shower invites. Starting to feel a little more confident πŸ™‚

Feist :Β  You are so close! So exciting!

MattieK :Β  So sorry about the poison ivy! I hope it’s starting to clear up now. Hope you have a wonderful appointment tomorrow.

JLBB-brooklyn :Β  Yay for normal test results and a girl! How wonderful.

Ham1320 :Β  So glad you had a perfect scan! YAY for a long cervix!

AFM, nothing eventful (thankfully). Only symptoms are decreased appetite and lots of fatigue/sleeping. Anxiously awaiting my first US on Thursday at 7wks.

MattieK :  Damn those SCHs!! I don’t know how I managed to avoid one so far, especially being on blood thinners.

Ham1320 :  Yayyy so exciting!!!

Thunderstorm :  Good luck!! The first ultrasound is really scary, but you’ll be ok!!

AFM, I’m 14 weeks today! Yay second trimester, except I’m still feeling pretty nauseous. When did you ladies start to gain weight? I lost about 2-3 pounds in the first few weeks I was pregnant and haven’t gained it back. I’m trying to eat as much as I can, but my nausea is exclusively after I eat or when I eat too much (which isn’t nearly as much as it used to be). I have an OB appointment on Tuesday so I’ll ask about it, and I’m sure they will say it’s fine but maybe I should ask to try diglecis to see if I can eat more?

RunnerBride13 :  congrats on reaching the second trimester! At 14 weeks I hadn’t gained an ounce. Weight gain for me started closer to 20 weeks. I’m 27 weeks now and up 13 lbs as of late last week. For context, I was about 114 lbs when I got pregnant (I’m 5’3″).

nightborn :  Thanks, that makes me feel better!! I was about 115 when I got pregnant (5’4″), and I’m 112-113 now. So, similar to you! I’m definitely nowhere near showing, but I see some girls on Instagram with full on bumps and I’m like oh crap!

JLBB-brooklyn :  Yayyyy for your good scan!!!!

RunnerBride13 :   lalalalauren :  Thank you!

Ladies, I’m sure this is probably early for me at 13.5 weeks, but did/are any of you plan/ing to take any classes? I’m looking into a Labor and Delivery class, a Newborn Care class, an Infant CPR class and a BFing class. I think I’d need to take these between Nov-Febish and most of them only happen 1/mo. Any suggestions or tips? Is this overkill? Darling Husband would come to all of them with me (except the BFing one) I’ve also been told your health insurance might reimburse you some $ for taking these classes, but I still have to check with my provider (BCBS).

JLBB-brooklyn :  I have looked into these too! My hospital offers all but infant CPR. The ones they offer are just one-time $20 classes. They also have a Bootcamp for dads haha. I was actually looking for a CPR class yesterday and they were pretty pricey, but I definitely want to know how to do it.

JLBB-brooklyn :  Congrats on the healthy NT scan!! I’m taking a mommy survival course and infant CPR and then a breastfeeding and lactation class once babies are here πŸ™‚ They’re all free through my hospital!

RunnerBride13 :  You’ll gain weight eventually! I finally started to gain weight in the second tri and my doctor wasn’t that concerned.

Thunderstorm :  Thank you! Good luck wth your first scan πŸ™‚
