RunnerBride13 :  Hello there! I am doing well! No real complaints except for fatigue and a greater difficulty in moving around, walking quickly, etc. I’m so sorry to read that your lack of weight gain is still worrying you, but at least your doctor thinks it is fine! Keep us posted on the growth scan, hoping little guy is above the 10 percentile. Have you purchased any baby items yet? When is your shower?

JLBB-brooklyn :  Thanks! I bought my BOB stroller and some clothes, bedding, etc. We haven’t started setting up the nursery in case we move before he’s born, which kind of sucks. I have a shower in CA (where I’m from) on 12/31 and one in NC (where I live) on 1/21. What about you?

Quick run by post because work is crazy today.  Has anyone bought one of those belly bands that go over your regular jeans?  My normal jeans aren’t super comfortable anymore, but there’s no way maternity jeans are needed yet (only 14+2).   My OB thinks most of the comfort issues with my normal ones are from the cysts still.  I’m wondering if a belly band would work?  Any recommendations?

I’ll catch up on here soon.

RunnerBride13 :  We have some hand-me-down clothes and the crib & changing table. We plan to start setting up her room in January as husband wants to enjoy our TV room a bit longer before it transistions 🙂 Are you looking to move beforehand? My shower in ME (where I’m from) will be on 12/26 (not thrilled about this one, mom didn’t want to have one so this is my sister and brother trying their best to pull something together from afar for our family). We will have one in NY (where I live) hopefully in Jan or early Feb as my friend Kristin is planning it. I’m much more excited about the NY one!

hogoboom2012 :  Hello friend! I got a belly band in a bag of maternity clothes I purchased off of Craig’s List, but honestly I never wore it. What I really loved then and now is a) leggings with a higher waist and b) the demi panel Gap maternity jeans (since they didn’t have a huge panel). I’ve been wearing those jeans since 16w and love them. To be fair, the jeans were also a hand-me-down so I didn’t pay $50+ for them.

I’ll cautiously roll call as it’s very early for me and I’m scared it’s going to go south at any moment.

Roll Call!

Weeks pregnant/due date: 4w3d, August 13 (by ER date)

Pregnancy journey: Started TTC June 2014 w/ no luck for over a year.  Started at the RE in Oct 2015.  Unexplained Infertility.  All tests came back normal, w/ the exception of somewhat low progesterone.  Did 3 rounds of clomid + trigger + IUI.  3rd cycle in June 2016 resulted in an ectopic that was resolved w/ 2 doses of MTX.  We did IVF in November.  12 eggs retreived, 9 mature, all 9 fertilized w/ ICSI.  6 made it to blast.  We transferred 1 and have 5 frosties!  Beta was 114 10dp5dt and 255 12dpt.

Next appt/test/ultrasound: This Friday (12/9) I have a 3rd beta.  Ultrasound next week, and a 2nd one a week or 2 later.

What are you struggling with: I don’t have any symptoms, other than boobs are a little more sore.  Really scared that something is going to go wrong.

What helps you: These boards, that my RE does 3 betas, and that I’ll have ultrasounds soon.

Share a pic of anything (BFP, ultrasound, pet, funny gif): ultrasound pic after they put little embie in on transfer day

JLBB-brooklyn :  Yeah, my hubby is finishing his MBA this month, so he’s on the job market all over the country. I don’t want to move at all, but I REALLY don’t want to move before we have the baby. I feel really comfortable with my OB clinic and hospital, and I’m high risk with several complications so I would be really worried to switch at the last minute, but we’ll see what happens. My shower situation sounds similar! A lot of people are out of town for my CA shower since it’s on New Year’s Eve, but it was the only time that worked for me and my sister. I’m sure they will still be fun!!

hogoboom2012 :  I have two but I never used them. But my belly grew really quickly. I needed maternity clothes by 13 weeks. My sister swears by them though for that inbetween phase.

AFM, it’s been absolute hell these past couple weeks. I’m 2 days shy of 32 weeks which is the only good thing. I’ve started to get light-headed, nauseas, severe pain in my upper ribs underneath my breast, been clammy, and have bad headaches and I have no idea why. Eating and drinking water doesn’t help. I get this weird rash on my belly and top of my hands taht comes and goes. Not itchy or anything. Doc says it’s PUPPs but it doesn’t look like the pics I’ve seen. Both baby’s movement has decreased but I’m not sure if that’s bc they’re running out of room. Also, I’ve been contracting every 4-6 min for awhile now and just stopped taking the nifedipine bc it stopped working completely. My doc said no NSTs or BPPs which worries me, but I see him next week for my OB appt and am going to at least push for weekly BPPs until I deliver. Hope everyone else is doing well!

JLBB-brooklyn : Aww 25 weeks, that’s amazing! I’m so happy for you.

hogoboom2012 : Any more updates on the cysts? I hope they aren’t causing you too much grief these days.

soontobemrs1011 : What a sweet little embie baby! Congrats! Don’t worry too much about the lack of symptoms, it’s still early.

RunnerBride13 : My DH is just finishing up his last year of his MBA too! If you had to move, where would your ideal place be?

Ham1320 :  I’m sorry you’re not feeling so well and that the nidedipine stopped working. I hope you’re able to convince your OB to do weekly BPPs until babies come. Best of luck!

Ham1320 :  I’m sorry – the last trimester can be such a beast. I think it’s pretty normal for movement to decrease as they get bigger and run out of room, but I’m such a monitoring junkie I completely understand the desire for weekly NSTs or BPPs. I hope your OB listens to you!

I just had my 10 week ultrasound and it looks like my miracle baby is still kicking. (Literally. S/he was squiggling on the ultrasound screen.) They had me being examined in the same room where we found out about my first missed miscarriage so I was already freaking out that it was a bad sign. The doctor started with a transvaginal scan and didn’t say anything for a very long time – probably a full minute which of course feels like two or three years. Then he said, “It’s not that I can’t find the pregnancy, I’m having a hard time finding your uterus.” WTF?! I suggested switching to abdominal and he did, and then baby was like, “HI THERE!” Doctor didn’t take measurements, but he said everything looked great and the heartbeat was perfect and seeing movement was a good sign, so… I think I’m ready to exhale a bit.

MrsMellyBean :  I’m feeling a bit better about it not being a chemical but I’m still completely paranoid about a MMC. Especially as I had no signs last time, I don’t think I’m going to relax until I have a scan. How are you feeling?

View original reply
KatieBklyn :  So glad to hear this! I know exactly how you feel. I went to the same clinic where I found out about my MMC earlier this week for some blood work and was so emotional. I actually think I’m going to have my scan somewhere else this time because I just don’t think I can go back in that room. DH thinks I’m mad! Congrats again, you’ve given me some hope!
