soontobemrs1011 :  Oh shit. I’m so sorry. No advice, just hugs. Not that there’s ever a good time of year for this, but this is a particularly shitty time to have a miscarriage. So unfair.

RunnerBride13 :  If you don’t normally eat sweet things it’ll taste awful. Think drinking the syrup they put into a soda machine before it gets diluted. As for the test, I assume it’s based on how your body processes sugar. Some women have no issues, some feel terrible.

My reactive hypoglycemia makes my blood sugar drop WAY low really quickly and keep tanking as long as my body is trying to process sugar (hence why I threw it up and passed out in under 30 minutes the time I took it). This is actually opposite of what GD will do, and from what I’ve read makes me less likely to get GD, but we’ll see. I hope it’s true. I actually don’t do the drink for my pregnaqncy glucose tests because I had such a bad reaction to it prepregnancy. My OB agreed that it was not a good idea for me and has a protocol for this situation where she tests my fasting blood when I get in, I eat breakfast, then have my appointment, then they test my blood 2 hours post meal. I’m still really nervous about the result though because GD will risk me out of the natural birth ward I want to use for labor/delivery:(

soontobemrs1011 :  So, so sorry hon. Yes, that is correct to my knowledge, you won’t have a big bleed until you stop the PIO.

TwinklesNZ :  Thanks love. What is symphysis pubis? Hope you’re not in too much pain but I’m glad that little bean is happy and healthy. That’s the best news of all.

RunnerBride13 :  Aww well hopefully you guys find somewhere you’ll both thoroughly enjoy! Best of luck next week with your first growth scan & glucose test!

Turtle83 :  How exciting that you’re having a little girl this time! Hope you start to feel those baby flutters soon :).

solnishko1186 :  Hopefully the glucose test isn’t as terrible as you expect it to be! So sweet that you have 2 little cuties in there.

Ham1320 :  Hope everything’s okay. Will be waiting for your update.

Aqualov :   Data analytics/machine learning, those are great fields to be in, I’m sure he’ll get a great job soon! Portland is a nice city, I like going there since they have very good restaurants, they have an amazing Peruvian restaurant (it’s been named best restaurant in the city a couple of times) and whenever we were in town we would go there lol. It makes complete sense to keep it a secret until the shower, I hope you have a fantastic shower with your family and friends.

RunnerBride13 :  The drink is not bad, it’s just very sweet, to me it tasted like a very sweet gateroade.

soontobemrs1011 :  I’m so sorry for your loss, it’s incredibly unfair to go through a loss especially after infertility treatments. Sending you tons of love and hugs.

MrsMellyBean :  Thank you! 🙂

Turtle83 :  Hello lady!  I’m just returning to the bee (my mat leave is now over…I have more time at my computer, haha) and I saw that you’re 23w!  That’s so exciting and amazing!  With a girl too?  So sweet, congrats!  Darling Husband and I are now trying for #2 and I’m praying that I can rejoin this board soon.

soontobemrs1011 :  I am so so sorry 🙁 So many hugs being sent your way 🙁

MrsMellyBean :  Unless something goes drastically wrong and we lose this bean, we’re not planning on banking embryos.  Even before we were married, we both individually felt like we were called to adoption.  our plan right now is to have this little one and when we’re ready for a sibling/siblings, we’ll look into fostering to adopt.

Turtle83 :  yay for 23 weeks!  That’s so exciting 🙂 and the pictures of your son’s haircut on FB were so cute!!  I’m 15+2 today 🙂

Ham1320 :  oh no 🙁 I’m glad babies are still hanging in tight!  I hope you’re feeling better!

RunnerBride13 :  I hope everything goes well next week!  That’s a lot in one day!

Saw our OB today and she did a quick scan.  Baby Boom is looking great and measuring perfectly.   The OB could still see resolving cysts but said the fact that I’m down to only 1 or 2 painkillers a day means I’m finally healing. She was OK with me waiting a month to come back in, but when I told her about my SIL’s loss at 17 weeks in October, she stopped me mid-sentence and said that her job is to take care of us emotionally too.  She ordered another appointment in 2 weeks (so 17+1) to check everything again.  And she told me that I am not “that patient” whose being annoying with so many appointments, but it matters and it is perfectly OK.  I didn’t feel like I was being annoying, but it’s a relief to know that she’s OK with all of them too.

Turtle83 :  Hi! Dear Daughter turned one on 12/3 and I’m eight weeks along with this one (FX). I’m so happy for you. I’d heard a rumor from a mutual friend that you were back, so many of the ladies from DD’s birth board are sending happy thoughts your way.

I want to apologize for being a lurker. I only access WB on my phone or tablet and have a hard time keeping track of and formatting posts. We have our first midwife appointment next week.

Darling Husband had to go to Paris for work and, since his trip is basically free, the baby and I have tagged along. I haven’t told my parents about the pregnancy because it was so early before we left and I know my mom would worry for us while we’re away.

Darling Husband is also a computer programmer. The start-up company he worked for was just purchased by a company that later offered him a decent relocation package to move to Palo Alto. He’s turning it down since, though there’d be a salary increase and bonuses, we wouldn’t really come out ahead financially with the cost of living increase. Plus, with this baby on the way, I really don’t want to leave my family. They’re keeping his Ann Arbor (a good tech city, btw) office open, so we’re staying here.

I really wish WB would release an app. That is all.

MrsBananas :  Good luck trying for #2! Hope it’s an easy, boring process!

hogoboom2012 :  Adoption is such an amazing thing, good for you guys! Darling Husband and I have strongly considered adoption as well. Glad that the scan went well. Your OB sounds wonderful, I love that she does everything possible to make you feel comfortable and put yourself at ease. I have absolutely no objections to you starting a new thread 🙂 .

4littlekitties : A trip to Paris sounds lovely, I hope you enjoy it.

Turtle83 :  Hey there! 🙂 My son is almost 21 months… it’s insane how fast the time goes!

We got the results of the NIPT yesterday – very low risk for the big three trisomies and… it’s a girl! <3

MrsBananas :  Hi! I just remembered you’re in Canada, so great you were able to stay 1 year with your son. I’m so hoping you’ll join this board very soon! So exciting to be trying for #2. We decided that due to my DOR and RPL we didn’t want to wait too long to TTC, so I stopped breastfeeding at 6 months to NTNP for 2 cycles before I could go back to the RE for treatment (RE said I had to wait 2 cycles after stopping breastfeeding to get accurate baseline testing). We didn’t expect it would happen right away and actually stick! I got pregnant when my son was 6 months and so far it seems to be going well.

hogoboom2012 :  Thank you! He has a lot of hair lol I’m so glad you have a very supportive OB and you will get an extra scan for peace of mind. How are you feeling? Are you already showing?

4littlekitties :  Thank you all for the good wishes! 🙂 I also wished WB would release an app, it’d be much easier to navigate. Palo Alto is so expensive! SFO has been my dream city but cost of living there is just crazy! So exciting that you’re in Paris, so jealous!

KatieBklyn :  Yay for great NIPT results and having a girl! So exciting!!
