It’s a while since I’ve been on here as I needed a total break from all things TTC related and feel so much better for it. I thought I’d update. As I’ve had 2 MCs and a cp my OBGYN agreed to do testing for recurrent mc (public so it was free, yay!). Turns out there’s nothing wrong with either DH or I. The test on the baby was abnormaL (trisomy 22) and it would have been very rare for someone with that condition to survive. So she described me as very unlucky for it to happen more than once and gave me the go ahead to TTC again (which we did at the weekend ;-)). Id really recommend testing. While I’m still waiting on some results (to come tomorrow) I feel so much better that some sort of answer was given to me.

PetuniaPie:  I so so sorry. I can’t even imagine what you’ve been through. I know I’ve become more emotionally attached as the weeks go by And can’t fathom getting that far.

whitums:  I read your post a while back but don’t think I commented as I came upon it late. I’m so sorry about your ectopic and hope you are doing well now. There was a worry about ectopic for me for about two weeks. It’s an awful place to be in.

phoebephoebo:  Thank you. I am so sorry for all you’ve been through… I remember being on the March 2015 boards with you. I’m so glad you got positive test results and you are able to move forward in the TTC process. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I can’t wait to be in a place where I’m ready to TTC again. Also, I can’t thank you enough for that picture you just posted. I immediately began crying, but it was tears of joy in a way, because I really have felt through all of this that, in a way, my baby was too special to be put on Earth. My husband likes to think he/she is up in heaven, introducing our grandparents to each other. We were both close to our grandparents, but they had all passed before DH and I met. Thank you so much for posting that.

PetuniaPie:  I am so, so sorry for your loss. I was no where near where you were, so I can’t even compare my pain with yours. You are in good company on this thread though. Even though we are all experiencing different kinds of pain levels and are at different levels of healing, we can all come together to support each other.

whitums:  I totally relate to the TTC fears. I’m on cycle 2 post d&c, which is definitely not long compared to others on this board. But it is scary to think we got so lucky the first try that maybe it was a fluke. I am trying to remain positive though, as each cycle lets me get to know my body better. I’d rather it take a few months than get pregnant right away and go through something terrible again.

Kay1126:  AF showed up 4 weeks exactly after my d&c too. And since then it has been 28 days exactly for my next cycle. Which is so weird because when I was on BC my cycle wasn’t even that regular. In a way the d&c completely revamped my whole cycle and helped me prepare better for the upcoming cycles. Just a small silver lining. It would be more difficult for me to track my cycles if AF kept showing up at different times like she used to.

phoebephoebo:  Happy to see you around again on the boards. I’m glad you have an answer to some of your questions.

AFM- I’m in the TWW now, hopefully testing early next week, even though my offical date is 16th for AF. But I just have to test early 🙂 Hopefully good things are on their way for me this month.

PetuniaPie:  I know how you feel about telling friends or family. I’ve found that unless people have gone through it themselves, they really seem to have no idea what to say. It amazed me how the few people I told actually just sort of brushed it off even. I guess it’s hard to wrap your mind around when it’s not you.

phoebephoebo:  Thank you very much. The comments and advice from everyone here has been so nice and appreciated. That’s great that your testing came back problem free. Hopefully you’ve used up all that bad luck and it’s time fora sticky babe!

Well ladies, I’m going to the doctor to find out if the meds killed the infection that *may* have caused my miscarriages.  Everyone please cross your fingers that we’re clear to TTC again!!!!

whitums:  I hope AF arrives soon.  It’s such a relief!

Kay1126:  Yay for AF!!  Who would of thought we would be happy for her.  I hope this waiting cycle brings you lots of answers.

phoebephoebo:  Glad you are back and feeling better.  Sorry about the bad luck as your doctor put it but at least you have answers and knowledge is power, right?  Wishing you a BFP!

desertgirl:  Thanks ladies!! Should have results by early next week.

I just saw someone’s “here’s my positive test, am I pregnant” post and thought, man! I wish that getting a positive pregnancy test meant all the things it means to so many people from the very first shot.  To me, a positive means that I better invest in large stock of tests so I can see if the line is progressing and catch when the line starts regressing.  Sigh.

I have gotten 2 baby shower invitations in the past 2 weeks (one of them last night). I spent last night balling on the couch because of it. I hate myself for that
