I am so sorry for everyone on here, but I am so gratfull to have a place to be.

I definitely have concerns about the d&c. Is this a procedure you have while you are awake?

futuremrssquiggs:  My d&c was super easy.  I had it with my first m/c, and really pushed hard for another after I found out I was miscarrying again, but didn’t end up getting one.  From what I understand, it depends on your doctor, but mine used a general anesthetic.  I went to sleep and didn’t feel a thing.  When I woke up, I was pain-free, and felt 100% better than I did before surgery (I had been losing a lot of blood fast for a long time).  I ate a popsicle, got dressed, and my husband drove me home.  I had very little cramping or spotting afterwards.  If I miscarry again (knock on wood it does not happen!) I would choose the d&c in a heart beat.  I know not everyone feels the same way though.  What exactly are your concerns about the d&c?  Make sure you talk to your doctor beforehand, and that all your questions get answered.  It’s your choice, and you need to make an informed one.

Welp, we’re not doing IUI again this cycle. Basically, my follicle grew fast in the last 4 days and it was at 27mm yesterday but my lining was 6.2, supposedly a little on the thin side. I had to trigger last night as well as start estradiol. IUI would’ve had to have been tomorrow and done at a different location with a different doctor since ours is closed over the weekend. It was too much to figure out and my RE kept reiterating that IUI gives me no greater chances than TI since my issue is ovulating on my own. Really all I need are basic fertility meds and ovidrel to ensure ovulation (PCOS often causes my follies to become cysts). Sooo as my dad often says, coin landed on its side. Not great news but not bad. DH and I are getting our BD on and hoping for the best. Happy weekend everybody!

futuremrssquiggs:  I was also put to sleep for my d and c. Like lauroo said, I felt so much better when I woke up because I was losing a lot of blood and had fetal tissue stuck in my cervix and had a bad infection. I felt like a new person after the d and c. I barely had spotting after the procedure. When I first woke up I was pretty crampy but I took some high dose Motrin which helped.

futuremrssquiggs:  Honestly the worst part of my D&C was the emotional aspect. Telling the nurses why I was there. The waiting, sadness, etc. I also was under general anesthesi, so completely out and had no idea what was going on. I felt fine physically right after, we actually went and adopted our 2 kittens the evening after my D&C. It felt like this weird close of one sad part and an opening of another happy part of our book together. But I did rest the next couple days and cried a lot. You will get through it and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you the best of luck!

Any of my charter friends or anyone on the October POAS board know this already but I got a faint positive last night and another today! I’m so cautiously cautiously excited. I’m insanely nervous about miscarrying again but know I’m taking all the right supplements and doing everything I can. It’s totally in God’s hands. I’m trying to be as positive as possible. I probably won’t go for betas until after the 21st bc I’m going to Florida. But hoping all goes well and I get some darker lines on my tests.

futuremrssquiggs:  So sorry that you’re here. My D&C was under a light general anaesthetic. Physically I didn’t find it hard at all but it was obviously really tough emotionally. Make sure you look after yourself. *hugs*

mrsm42712: This is a really supportive place to be, so I’m glad you’ve decided to join. I’m so sorry about your MC, it sounds like it was really tough :(. I totally get you on the pregnant people jealousy, I was okay with it at first but it’s really kicked in in the last couple of weeks. Ugh.

@lalalauren: Aaah, congratulations! FX that it sticks!

I’ve decided to take a bit of a step back from TTC this month. We’re still going to try but I’m not charting or anything. I’m undecided as whether to test early again next time or not, as it was a serious emotional rollercoaster but at the same time I’m glad the CP’s on my medical record now.

Also, is anyone else here on Vitamin D supplements? I was found to be deficient when they did the blood tests for my last pregnancy, and the midwife put me on 1 supplement per day. When I went to the GP on Friday she upped my dose to 3 per day (said I was actually severely deficient) and ordered another blood test in a few weeks time to keep track of it. Apparently it doesn’t cause MC but can cause problems for a baby after they’re born if the mum’s Vitamin D is low through the pregnancy.

autumnvee:  I am taking vitamin D supplements. The nurses recommended them to me when I left the hospital, and I plan to continue them. They never explained why exactly though. I’m also taking C and E on top of my prenatal.

leahdany:  Its amazing! I still haven’t gotten notification that mine even shipped, which kind of irritates me. I could use some good this week πŸ™‚

I am having a hard time still. BBT was elevated this morning, so I poas and of course there is still a clear second line. Waiting for my HCG to drop (its been a week, and they weren’t even that high…) is torture. I just want this portion of the journey to end so that I can grieve and move on. Waiting is hard for me, I have never been a patient person and I’m really struggling today. DH has had to go into the office both days this weekend so I feel like I’m left alone with my thoughts. Trying to distract myself but I’m just so sad and angry that its hard not to think about. I hate this entire process so so much.

BeverlyGeese:  the waiting is absolutely awful. I tried to stay very busy- late at work, time with family and friends, etc when I first MCed. I hope your hcg drops quickly so you can start to move forward. You’ll get there ❀️

lalalalauren: yaaayyyyy! Stick stick stick!!

BeverlyGeese: The waiting is so so rough.  I’m asorry that you had to be home alone… it’s not easy to just sit and think think think and all you can do is wait.  I just tried to learn as much as I could during the wait because it was the only thing that made me feel a little proactive.
