So I spent the entire day dress shopping on Wednesday. I probably tried on 40 dresses? The winner of the day was of course, the second one I tried on…Mikaella 1403. I still “like” it a lot, but I didn’t come home feeling sure about anything at all. Very frustrating.
That same night I bought the new InStyle Weddings and saw a dress that made my jaw drop. (This does not really ever happen to me.) It’s a Judd Waddell, sweatheart neck, tiered flowy skirt, and a fabric flower at the waist. But…it’s not even on his website yet (unless I’m totally clueless). How can I find it? And since I probably can’t afford it, how long does it take for knock-offs to start coming into stores?
I’m getting married in August, so I need to get something pretty soon.
My budget is under $2000 including alterations.
I think I like dropped or just slightly below natural waist, ruching, flowy skirt with not too much fabric, and I love fabric flowers : )

is it this one?
i would first contact the designer for a price quote or call a local boutique that sells the line’s dresses and ask them when they’ll be getting that season in. try to figure out the line’s typical price point from their stock of previous seasons. i don’t really know when knockoffs start coming into stores with lower price points but you could always search for a good seamstress on your own. 🙂
in any event, good luck!

Is this the one?
It is gorgeous. I think these gowns start at 3,000 and up.
I think you will see alot of dresses soon in a simialr style in your price range though.

Thanks, I found a dress by Rosa Clara that was very similar to the one I found in the magazine…even better I think! Thanks though!
