Don’t tell anyone if you aren’t prepared to hear their judgments!

I’d keep my bling to myself and enjoy it. You’re the one wearing it after all 🙂

I heard it once from a Girlfriend who’s parents own a jewlery store 6 hours from where I live…  she is expecting great things from who ever is ‘lucky enough’ to propose to her. She claimed Fiance should show me how much I mean to him with a diamond instead a ‘fake’.

I told Fiance I wanted a moissanite… so that he could buy me a house haha but for real, the money saved was put toward our down payment!

I was very lucky to be given a yellow moissanite and I think it is much more lovely than a real diamond that I own. When I wear it I feel very humble becasue that stone is made from meteors. That stone (particles granted) travled farther than I ever will or could dream of. Your fi got you a ring made from a shooting start. How much more romatic can you get. Tell your sister to shove it.

Jeravae:  true. Any product, thats an imitation of an much more expensive product will have the assumption of being inferior. Purse, shoes, stones such as moissy, cz, ag would be no different I suppose.

I was told you own a Moissanite jewelry company with Mike who posts here. Can I pick your brain lol since you’re here. Why is that some moissy gets a stain that keeps coming back? What is it?

lovelytay:  Your sister sounds like mine. You have to own it proudly. She’ll probably change her mind when she sees how sparky it is and how much you saved over a diamond.

sunshinelove007:  +1. I’m sorry, but I’ll never understand this need for approval that so many people have. Why bother worrying about her opinions of your ring? To get yourself all bothered over a ring you’ll be wearing? She’s allowed to have an opinion and you’re allowed to ignore it. Simple.

It is totally your choice!

….And this is coming from a very strict “diamond only” person.

For my ring, I only wanted diamond, even if that meant having a smaller stone. However, that choice is not for everyone. If you find a ring that’s “you”, then that’s *your* ring. It’s the sentimental value that matters, anyway.

Honestly I can’t tell the difference between moisssanite and diamonds when they’re lined up next to each other. I bet your sister wouldn’t have even known if she hadn’t read it in the info you sent her!

i feel like family members have no filter when they talk to each other.   what she said reeks of jealousy In My Humble Opinion.   Don’t let her take this moment or this feeling away from you.
