You are nice if I had a loser from highschool sending me a message I wouldn’t even respond. Who cares what he says, he’s a random nobody to you. I do find it funny that someone who doesn’t even know you had the nerve to even say that to you!

Ughh I would not have even responded. You handled yourself well though. I don’t understand how some people refuse to grow up.

I have had guys contact me on facebook saying innapropriate things like “hey sexy” etc when they know i am engaged and i delete the idiots off of facebook – far out some people are so F*%$KED when it comes to marriage – they have no idea what it means and get jealous that they are single  and others are happy and have found the one. let them live in their sad pathetic world.

@Mars62312:  Hahahha this was totally the first thing I thought! In a previous relationship I had some weird guy facebook message me to tell me I didn’t know what love really was and I shouldn’t be dating this guy 😛 Turns out he was in love with me himself.

Also, people sometimes use the internet to say stupid things that they can’t say in real life because they’d get smacked or otherwise told to stop 😉 Definitely don’t worry about him: though it does make a hilarious story!

if he was contacting you to hit on you, you have to understand the fact that you told him you’re just about to get married, rather than go to the club with him next friday night as he hoped, was a bit discouraging… and he lashed out a bit.

… I had at least two “so proud to be single I need to post about my pride in being single daily, and a weekly contradictory post about how love hurts so much” long-term aquaintances on fb (one male, one female) who posted some particularly hostile sounding vague status updates for 2-3 days after my fb status changed to engaged. Think they’re pretty much back to normal now though, but yeah, sometimes it can be a gut check for single long-term aquaintances.

Guys are so lame. I had a guy who really broke my heart freshman year of college give me similar attitude via text messages right after I got engaged.

Then I had another guy who dumped me through facebook tell me he was happy for me. He’s still single.

*shakes head*
