Typically, if you do a juice fast for weight loss, you will gain anything you lose back. Juicing is really not a quick weight loss solution–it can be used to kickstart a detox program or new healthy eating plan. But if you go into a fast hoping to lose weight and keep it off, you will be disappointed. A good resource on juicing is the documentary “fat, sick, and nearly dead.” If you are looking to lose weight, I recommend a paleo diet. Good luck!

Did you put the weight right back on? yes, but in a different way if that makes sense? I was a lot less bloated.
Any advice/tips? I did the cleanse to restart my system. I knew I would lose weight and gain it back but I was hoping that I would feel better after the 3 days and I did. I had more energy and wanted to eat healthier afterward. The first day was a bit rough because the juice didn’t arrive until after 11am so I had to drink them right on top of each other to get through the 6 in the day so I ended up feeling a little nauseas. By day 3, I was sad the cleanse was over. I loved it so much and still crave those juices!

Did you lose weight? A little – but not enough to be noticeable.
How much weight did you lose (what was your starting and ending weight)? 3lbs. Started at 148, ended up 145
Did you put the weight right back on? Yup. After a day or two of eating my normal diet the weight went right back on. Which was okay by me, I wasn’t doing the cleanse to lose weight just to detox after a couple weeks of antibiotics/allergies and general sick-yness.
Any advice/tips? If this is your first time doing a cleanse I would start slow – no more than 2 – 3 days. Make sure you prep your body because you’re essentially going to be fasting. Eat clean in the few days leading up to your cleanse – stick to fruits, veggies and lean proteins. Try to avoid sugary, starchy and carb-laden foods like large amounts of pasta, bread or rice. You might feel lethargic and generally crappy from your blood sugar fluctuations. After the cleanse ease back into eating normally.
I do a juice fast every week. IE. every Monday I only drink juice. I’m not trying to lose weight so I don’t but I’m at a very happy/healthy place. Juicing In My Humble Opinion is one of the most amazing thing you can do for your body! I feel like a completely different person when I go without my juice!! (I usually drink a green juice every day for breakfast anyway).
If you are looking for an actual cleanse I’ve tried the Kaeng Raeng cleanse. I liked it and found it very gentle. However I have a pretty healthy diet as is so I don’t think it was anything fabulous. Just a nice break for my body.
Start weight: over 165lbs 5’8ft.
I went vegan for a year to detox, I did a juice fast first for 1 month to get me started out fresh. I still like to juice even now. But, I prefer smoothies, due to the fiber still present in my food.
Favorite Juices: I did a LEMON, Ginger Blast!! Look up Dan Mcdonald on youtube for the recipe of the LGB. I also loved to do carrots, and ginger. sometimes pomegrante.I also loved doing herbs and greens like kale, dandelion.
Time frame- 1 month of juicing. I lost maybe 5-10 lbs.
After 6 months of being vegan I lost 25-30lbs (not that I needed to loose that much!!!) ;P
Now, after a year of being vegan, I decided to add back into my diet: Raw goats cheese, pasture eggs, and whole foods market’s fish (1/week).
Current weight: 140-142lbs 5’8 ft.
Picture taken 6 months after juicing/being vegan: 25 lbs lighter!!
Haven’t done one, but a close friend did a 3-day Blueprint Cleanse, lost a lot of weight, and several months later has not put it back on — it is VERY noticeable in terms of tone. (She’s also been amazing about keeping up with an exercise routine over the same timespan, actually preceding starting the cleanse.) She found that post-cleanse she craved different kinds of food, and it really changed her eating habits.
