We are getting married in July 2015 and already starting all the planning. 🙂 We have decided we don’t want to do our own music; we just don’t have the time and patience.
So at this point we are thinking to go towards a DJ. But a friend of mine recently had a jukebox and it was great being able to go up and flick through all the tracks to see what there was. And it was great to see songs you’d never would hae requested but there they were and it was great fun!
But what do we do when their are speeches on, our first dance, father/daughter dance, etc.

Don’t put the flow and content of your music in the hands of your guests. You’ll hear “Sweet Caroline” 8 times in a row because Aunt Martha couldn’t figure out the buttons or because Cousin Jim thought it would be a great prank. Do an iPod playlist or get a DJ.

Get a DJ. The DJ will be able to read the crowd and play the right music at the right times. The jukebox can get messy pretty fast.

Yeah … it was a small wedding with the jukebox. Maybe that’s why it worked well haha!
Hopefully I can find a reasonably priced DJ now.

you could iPod DJ your wedding – set up playlists and rent speakers and a microphone.

@Thrburko89: I love the idea of a jukebox so voted for that but then saw a comment from a PP that the only problem there might be is the flow of the music. But if I was there I’d be queuing up my songs for sure.
