We’ve set our budget, reserved a venue for the ceremony and reception, selected our colors, and selected our bridal party.  Next on our agenda are caterer, officiant, and my dress.

Most major stuff is done: bridal party, venue, dress, photographer, videographer, DJ, stylist, save-the-dates are made and sent, hotel room block, registry and wedding website.

Right now, working on invitations, wedding night and honeymoon arrangements, and what the bridesmaids and groomsmen are wearing. Next month, food tasting, pie tasting, flowers and hair/make-up trial. also starting to buy “all the little things” for the wedding.

We’re onto the smaller stuff, i.e. the stuff that is going to drive me the most crazy. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yay for July!  We have a venue, DOC (owner of the venue), photographer, officiant, mailed Save-The-Date Cards, I have my dress, bridesmaids dresses ordered, groomsmen suits ordered (kind of), cabin for wedding weekend, honeymoon booked and invitations ordered and arrived.

This month I’m starting to address the invitations and get pieces together for our DIY centerpieces.  Sometimes I feel ahead, but sometimes I feel like there’s still a ton to do.

Send out invitations in April, DIY my program fans, centerpieces and photo booth.  I also still have to figure out my hair and make-up, do trials and get my dress altered.  I’m sure there’s more I can’t think of.  Whew, I’m exhausted just thinking about it.

Hi Bees.

Done –

  • Venue booked (they handle food/ bar so that’s taken care of too)
  • Photographer booked
  • Officiant
  • DJ
  • String Quartet for ceremony
  • Cake design picked out and baker booked
  • Colors chosen
  • Wedding party chosen
  • Web site up and running
  • Hotel block done
  • Sent out save the dates in December
  • Registry done
  • Dress ordered (just last week – whew that took a huge weight off), bought shoes, ordered jewelry
  • Bought the majority of the candles
  • Have been buying decor little by little
  • Favors decided; Favors boxes and ribbons bought
  • Booked flights – getting married in NY.

To Do:

  • Pick a florist. I’ve narrowed it down to 2.  One is a fav of SOs family and cheaper, but the other is more on trend/younger and super receptive. I’m torn. Will probably go with the less expensive.
  • Make the ceremony programs
  • Talk SO into designing the guest sign certificate (I want one similar to Rifle’s, but they arent taking orders any more)
  • Find a veil
  • Hunt down a table linen company
  • Aisle runner
  • Card box; Cake server set
  • Rentals – Chairs, etc
  • Hair and makeup
  • Buy wedding rings
  • Addressing invites this long weekend
  • Wedding party gifts
  • Hire lighting people
  • All the little annoying stuff.

I hate looking at the to do list. ๐Ÿ™‚ so much stuff left.

Good luck everyone.

  • Hotel Rooms blocked
  • Wedding website
  • Sent out Save-The-Date Cards

my wedding is July 30th I have the church and reception venue booked and paid for and there’s no need to worry about catering since the club I’m using forces people to use their food.  I have my photographer and DJ booked.  I have my dress. I’m still trying to decide  what to do about a florist since the one I want has a ridiculously high deposit…I’m 2000 miles away so it’s not like I can go in and meet with anyone in person, which is extremely frustrating.  I have a tentative guest list and I’ve asked all my bridesmaids, and only one of them has ordered her dress.

Gosh I don’t even know what to do next.  Save the dates, limo, hotel room for the night of…I need to make a decision about the florist and my fiance has to figure out who he wants in the wedding. We really need to pick out suits for the groomsmen.  FI’s little brother offered to make our cake for us since he’s a pastry chef but I haven’t talked to him about it at all and quite frankly, I’d rather use someone who makes wedding cakes on a regular basis, but it’s important to Fiance so I just have to deal.  It seems like there’s soooo much left to do ๐Ÿ™

I’d like to think we have the “big” things done:

  • Reception/Ceremony Venue booked
  • Photographer booked
  • Dress ordered
  • DJ almost booked – just need to finalize price
  • STD’s out at Christmas time
  • Bridal party chosen

I think the next big things are:

  • BM’s dresses
  • Finalize colour choices
  • Think about wedding bands
  • We have our tasting in February, then we can finalize menu choices
  • Order invitations
  • Finish pre-wedding counselling

Hi!

I am getting Married 7/30/11.

Done:

Church, hall, reception hall, wedding website, save the dates done, pew flowers being made, wedding party picked, my dress, veil and headpiece ordered.  I have Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses on order, bouquet flowers bought, but not made yet. My shower is being planned by family/BM. I have table decor bought and or rented.  Photographer and DJ contracts signed.  Limo contract signed.

Happy Planning!
