I’ve been thinking about this lately too. I’m halfway though buying bridal party gifts. I have 3 bridesmaids and my brother as my “best man” and I’m planning on getting them all different things because they are just all too different to buy for! I have two of them picked out and bought.

I’m also finalizing invites and working on centerpieces!

I haven’t even thought about this yet, eek!  When I was maid of honor in another wedding, the bride gave us the shoes that she wanted us to wear so that we didn’t have to buy them. It was actually really sweet of her.

Have you thought about hand-painted wine glasses? I think those are cute.  These are from thecuteglass.

like minds think alike! Bridal gifts have suddenly been on my mind for the last week. its funny because its one detail that can wait, but it feels like the biggest deal right now. haha

Right now, I’ve order clutches for my girls, and probably engraved beer mugs for the guys. I know its not a lot, but its four of each and I had no idea that other brides spend so much, until reading weddingbee.

Ugh, I’ve been looking for at least a month and I can’t decide on anything. I only have about $20 to spend on each Bridesmaid or Best Man so… it’s really frustrating! I want it to be something useful, pretty, and nothing they’ve gotten beforehand. My BMs have gotten tons of monogrammed make-up bags and I just can’t bear the thought of giving them one more. What to do, what to do?! Baha 🙂

I found it tough cause the girls are so different from each other. I thought about mini blush wine bottles and pink flasks, but my one girl doesn’t drink and is now pregant.

jewelry can be another nice gift. but its difficult to pick out things everyone would like (even if they don’t match) cause jewelry can be so personal.

I haven’t really thought about this too much either, I do have miniature pink swiss army knives (we currently live in Swizterland) for the girls but that is it so far! we have some cool key ring compass’s for the boys but need to get on it really!

I just sent my invites out last week which was very exciting and time consuming!

My next project is making the favours for the guests, I am doing all the preparation here and then will assemble once we are in Canada where we are getting married….

I’m making them a personalized tote bag, with their initial.

Inside will be a coach wristlet for my 2 maids of honor, and small wallet for 2 bridesmaids….a small manicure kit…blanket for plane ride/drive home (they’re all travelling)

I think that’s it. I might get them a little pair of flip flops for the reception/getting ready

Hi Everyone!

Bridesmaid gifts is one of the few things I can cross off my list!!! I got my girls all different stuff. Two of them got Coach bags, one got a nice watch, and my maid of honor got a tiffany’s bracelett and a coach clutch.

I am trying to figure out the order of events for our dj, has anyone thought of that? I was starting to fill out a worksheet and I feel like my wedding is already over! It’s actually very depressing, if anyone has thought about their flow to the reception I would love to hear it! Well I guess read it!! lol

@carriejuly:

Flow to reception, we are on the same property for our ceremony and reception. After we come up the aisle we’re actually going to “lead” everyone from the ceremony site, to the reception area but welcome them *to* that area via a receiving line. Logistically it works for the layout and once we’ve said hi to everyone, off we’ll go for an hour to take pics!

I am giving the same order of events to our day-of coordinator, DJ, videographer, and photographer so everyone is very literally on the same page. It’s pretty general right now, but will be pretty much down to the minute by the time it arrives in their hands!

I need to find a way (thinking kijiji, or our for sale forum here at work) to see if anyone has any games I can borrow, bocce, washers, texas horse shoes, cornhole, etc. I have a bocce set and washers, but want more for folks to get their game on while we’re taking pics and throughout the evening. It’s all we do at the cottage and when we get together outdoors in the summer with fam so I’d like to have some on hand that day!
