DomesticDiva: Yeah i think it was for their convenience they wanted me to get an epi. He (anaesthetics) spoke about how it was risky to put me under GA if it came to that and obviously I don’t want it but I don’t fear it. I was a put under GA for my egg retrieval back in Oct and recovered extremely well but yes I want Darling Husband to be there so no GA please 🙂 I am happy to be monitored and the like and if it looks like a c-section may be needed I’ll get that epi in then but not straight up.
Glad you came back clear for GD. I know they need to know to monitor closer but seriously they make it sound so definite that pregnancy means GD that we all get stressy and guilty over that that easter egg when we shouldnt.

Finally “came out” on Facebook this weekend! Now that my bump is quite pronounced, I felt like it was time. We weren’t really planning on doing anything special to announce, but we kept being surprised that so-and-so hadn’t heard yet, so we both thought it would be nice to post something. Now we don’t feel weird, either, if a friend who knows posts a link on our timelines or makes a comment, and my dad was really excited to share the post so his cousins and everyone can congratulate him on being a grandfather, which was cute.
Anyone else still holding out but thinking about announcing? We were really on the fence about it but now I’m glad we did.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their kind thoughts 🙂 I’m just now coming up for air and trying to catch up on life.
I’m in the middle of painting the nursery and getting pretty excited. What gliders/recliners did everyone decide on? I’m doing some research this week for furniture.
Thanks so much again for the support! I’m done being MIA 🙂

lavenderskies: We have a used glider from my cousin but it is a wood one with cusions and is kind of a mix between a rocking chair and a chair glider. If that makes sense.

We got the Valco Seville glider and I love it already. It’s one of the only places I can sit when my back is aching. I am so tempted to move it from the nursery to the living area haha.
Oh I have also got out the fit ball and damn that thing is awesome – I generally sit/bounce on it at night when watching TV and it is helping with my tailbone and hip pain. The rest of the time it makes an awesome foot rest hahaha
Hope everyone is doing ok 🙂 I just realised clicking into this that we are on 500 posts so I will have to start up a new thread…
