Hi all! I am looking for some help. We are getting married on July 4, 2014 in a small town in southwest Michigan, right along Lake Michigan. We aren’t playing up the 4th of July theme at all aside from fireworks at the end of the night over the lake and, of course, sparklers. That said, I think we have some freedom with our dinner menu and our caterer is open to anything!
I was thinking of going more “fun” with the appetizers (sliders, mini hotdogs, watermelon and feta cubes, etc.) and then having a more formal dinner. Some ideas were grilled steak and chicken (there is a large grill on site the caterer can use), various kabobs, etc. We want the menu to be memorable, but not to feel like backyard BBQ. Any suggestions???
