We’re all about 4 months out now! I think I was in blissful ignorance until my well-meaning Future Brother-In-Law reminded me of how quickly it’s actually coming up. Suddenly everything is coming together – we’re ordering invitations, doing tastings, and we are busier than ever with wedding-related tasks. My bridesmaids are hinting about a bachelorette party and two gifts have been purchased off of our registry!
I woke up the other day feeling a little bit overwhelmed. I still have a few DIY projects to finish (or start…), a rehearsal dinner to plan, and need to get my Fiance to take care of some of his to-do’s (easier said than done). Plus the realization that I only have 4 more months of available funds to make the remaining wedding purchases. Eeeek!
Am I alone? How are my other July brides feeling?

I am definitely stressing as well. My Fiance hasn’t really helped with much of the planning, but definitely has an opinion on everything I have been working on. I still have too much to do and had a mini breakdown last weekend, but have been feeling much better this past week. The part that makes me laugh/kinda drives me crazy is that my Fiance keeps going on about how great and fun it’s going to be but has no idea of the amout if work I still have left to do.
I hear it gets better!! 🙂 Hope you feel less stressed soon !!

@loveinthelibrary: I’m feeling SO much better since I delegated all the decorations to my mum! I was a bit overwhelmed but now that she’s taken that on I feel so much better about everything. We’d pretty much made all the decisions already so my mum is just going ahead and ordering everything and making all our ideas happen.
We should be picking up our invitations at the weekend, so hopefully we can get those out soon! Very excited about that.
4 months to the day for me tomorrow!

I’m feeling really great! Not stressed at all! My dress came in this week. Have to finish up purchasing some decor items, order 100 more chairs, and of course PAY for everything. But it’s coming together very nicely. I opted for my caterer (who also is a planner) to do some day of coordination, so that’s taken a huge weight off.
Getting close! V. excited!

loveinthelibrary: Oh I am feeling the heat too!! So much left to do. We are at that phase too where we are having to finish paying for everything. I can’t believe it’s a little over 4 months until we get married! EEEE!! Super exciting but very nerve racking at the same time!

loveinthelibrary: I’m so excited! I was really stressed at the five and six month marks, but I now have all the big stuff done so I’m feeling better. My big stressors right now are figuring out centerpieces, waiting for my dress to come in, and making a calendar/list of when I need to finish paying everything – ah!!

I just finished my most ambitious DIY project, my invitations. My budget is under control, all of the big things are done, and most of the little things are done. All thats left is the photographer payment, food budget, and some more vellum, plus i have the money to buy the rest of the little things that cant be bought until June-July like the cake, cake balls, favor candy, etc. I just ordered my crinoline, and my dress is due to be finished for my second fitting on March 29. Everything is snapping right into place perfectly, except the bridesmaid dresses, which is a whole different issue that i dont even want to think about. I just cant believe in four and a half months ill be married!
