I had the "holy cow it’s 45 days to the wedding" moment yesterday. I was feeling pretty on the ball until I saw that number. I haven’t received many RSVPs either, which is pretty frustrating. Enjoy your shower! I had a 2-shower weekend when I went home in April, and it really was one of the best weekends ever being surrounded by good friends and family.

My RSVP deadline was May 30th.  By that time I had only heard from 100 of 150 people.  Yikes!  RSVPs are still trickling in.  I’m way too nervous already, so I hope something changes in me so that I can relax.  I know it’s an irrational feeling, but I can’t help it!

My RSVP deadline is tomorrow and I’m still missing about 30 people!  Ugh!  I’m still working on all my DIY stuff.  My To Do list is finally starting to get shorter instead of longer.  I can’t believe I have less than 40 days to go!!

Here are the main things I need to do:

  • discuss ceremony order and elements with judge
  • print menus
  • make programs
  • finish pomanders
  • finish collecting stuff for welcome bags
  • write note to each guest
  • lose 10 pounds
  • order favors for rehearsal dinner for Future Mother-In-Law (who is incapable of using a computer)
  • escort cards and table numbers
  • bridesmaid gifts
  • bridesmaid luncheon details/invitations
  • write vows

Oh geez!!  That’s more than I thought…  Ahhh!!!!

I’m doing great!  Everything is really coming together, but I still have my planning-panic moments when I realize how soon it is! I think that it is funny that everything is planned EXCEPT for the actual ceremony!  I am Jewish and he is Catholic, so we are using an interfaith book to help incorporate both traditions.

Here is my to do list:

    – Print labels for favors and buy favor bags

    – Make cookies for favors with my 2 bff’s

    – Finish table decorations

    – Finish table numbers

    – Select vows/ Plan ceremony!

    – Have dress hemmed and busled (appt Monday)

    – Select parent dance song

It’s good to see that I’m on the right track – it looks like we are all at the same point!

Ok, I’m over my 44 day freakout, so here’s my to do list:

    Figure out ceremony

Put said ceremony on programs I finally bought

    Pick music

    Pick goodies for groom’s non-cake

    Sew a purse

Sew a thank you gift for bridesmaids’ luncheon host

Make lots of final payments to vendors

    Order and package favors

Clean out my car (gotta drive cross country for the wedding and I work out of my car… bad combination)

    Get cufflinks for the fiance

Decide whether I’m going to have to get my hair colored before the wedding since the awful highlights I got last fall are showing up AGAIN.

I’m July 4th, so the earliest of the July Brides (Eek!)

Our RSVP date was on Friday.. currently only have 1/3 of the RSVPs. However, called several family members, who called several people, who called some more people.. you get the picture. Sounds like the bulk of the rsvps went in the mail saturday or today, so I’m hoping to have 75% by Wednesday.

Anyone feel like they’re tackling a never-ending to-do list? lol

Absolutely!  My Future Mother-In-Law thinks everything is done and seems totally baffled by why I’m stressed out since we’ve signed contracts with all our vendors.  Of course, we have no idea what the boys are wearing, we haven’t met with the vendors recently, the timeline is still a little smushy, our ceremony isn’t done…

I think it may be time to print out another copy of my current to do list and just start cutting things I don’t care about, but I’m not exactly sure what those are just yet!

We planned the ceremony this weekend, so check that off the list!  Only 1001 more things to do!

I’m so relived to read all your responses and realize I am not behind the 8-ball but actually at about the right point.  I am so looking forward to the event itself, I just want to show up and not deal with all these details.  But my wonderful best friend bridesmaid has made up a timeline and to do list for me (what would I do without her?!) and my wonderful fiance is chipping in happily, even thinking of things to do ON HIS OWN, without my prodding – amazing!  The next 5 weeks are going to fly…

Yes, it is definitely the neverending to-do list. I’ve got so many things on my list, it’s not even funny. Though I think I can cross off "lose 10 lbs" from my list b/c I’ll lose it all from the stress of getting everything done! Of course, then dress will be too big.

!! I’m freaking out! We’re getting hitched on the 11th, and even though I think things are well in hand, I have this sinking feeling like we’re forgetting something huge. What’s left (that we know of):

-Finalize vows (if only my pastor knew how many DIY projects we’d undertaken, maybe he wouldn’t have "recommended" that we write our own…)

    -settle on ceremony music

-settle on readers for the ceremony

-finish choreographing first dance (so much fun!)

-finish wine & beer pairings for dinner, and order everything

    -get remaining items for centerpieces

    -dye shoes

    -put favors together

    -get marriage license

-make signs to direct guests to ceremony & reception

I’m sure I’m leaving things out…I’m so excited, and nervous!!!

okay so I think I’m either really good at delegation or I"m totally forgetting something 😀 I’m really not stressed out at all!

-I’m doing a final dress fitting/lengthening with my mom this weekend…

-I need to find a new bra for my dress (guh!)

-Doing full run through of hair and makeup saturday, possibly with dress? not sure yet cause Fiance is coming too…. I might just hide in the other room… haha

-mom is making my garter… awesome

    -guest book ordered

-mom is handeling all the food with the caterer

-final conversation with the florist to make sure we’re on the same page

    -bridesmaids have everything they need.

-Still need to find toasting glasses or just use pretty stemmed water goblets that I already own?

    – music is done!

-my dad is making signs to direct people to the wedding

and gosh I think that’s just about it. We still have to book the room for the wedding night but I’m not worried about that.

Hope everything is going well for you ladies and your not too stressed out!! Can’t wait to see pics!

I had my OMG, one month to go, moment yesterday!  I think I’m in pretty good shape. I go for my final dress fitting on Monday which is what I’m currently most excited about!

Congrats to everyone whose big day is coming up in July!
