@redsmarties:  Wow Major props for holding out til Monday!  Did you have progesterone bloodwork done? If so, do you know what your level was? (if you don’t mind sharing)

View original reply
@ChuckNorris:  I certainly can wait til after the weekend for you to do it lol

@MRSLMA:  Hmm Friday the 13th. I’m not really superstitious, but I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t want to test that day. Maybe you can do it Thursday night instead? Not to tempt you… πŸ™‚

@Mrsluckywife:  I’ll be away on a business trip, but I’ll def be checking for updates!! Good luck to you this weekend! Only a few days away!!

My plan is to POAS on Tuesday at 14 dpo if no AF. The only reason why I have the willpower to do this is because I don’t want to test around a bunch of co-workers, and either be bummin and have no one to talk to about it, or be excited out of my mind, with no one to talk to about it. lol

I’ll be checking in for some good news while away!!

Hi everyone! Previous lurker here. πŸ™‚ Went off Nuva Ring in March, have had regular periods since, 25-27 days. Finally broke down and did the Clearblue Digital Ovulation tests this cycle and got a +OPK on CD 14. Expect AF tomorrow or Friday. Not expecting much this cycle – our timing with life just hasn’t been great. πŸ˜›

Since coming off birth control, I’ve been having some abnormal bleeding between periods, though — usually just for 1-2 days, about 5-6 days after my periods ENDS. Varies from spotting to light bleeding. This past cycle, it was also about 3 days before my +OPK, so likely not ovulation related. Went to get it checked out by the OB-GYN today who thought I had a normal exam, but wants me to get an ultrasound to look for a uterine polyp or fibroid just in case. He seemed to indicate that if I had any sort of polyp or fibroid, I should get it surgically removed since I’m TTC and they can sometimes cause infertility and miscarriage. Anyone with experience here? I’m gonna have to do some more research on this… I really dread the thought of surgery, but I also want the best chances possible to TTC as I’m already 32 yo…

@Izzy81:  yay, cycle buddy at 4DPO πŸ™‚ I’m thinking i’ll test at 13DPO (Sat 21st), if no diablo yet (although knowing my luck it will be a white blinder, and then diablo will start 30 mins later)

@ChuckNorris:  yes, i did tell him about OPKs and charting, as soon as he started doing the “intro to fertility” talk he’s given me twice already now!! I don’t know, I know that he has a point that for lots of people it’s just about waiting, but I just want to know what I can be doing to help things along!! Like, I don’t want to take supplements to assist with Progesterone if it isn’t low… or royal jelly if I have endo (which he thinks is a possibility). He told me not to get my info from google, but then didn’t have anything new to add anyway. I’m intelligent, I know how to research cleverly, I know I ‘shouldn’t’ stress about it… Grr. At least I can get my tests πŸ™‚

@SproutBee:  welcome!! no experience, sorry, but lots of positive thoughts!! I had lots of post-AF spotting after I came off the pill, but it doesn’t seem to happen anymore – maybe it’s just your body getting itself sorted? Regular cycles are a blessing for you, though!! Lots aren’t so lucky.

@redsmarties:  that is one horribly long cycle (if you can even call it a ‘cycle’ – it would have felt like one never-ending line….). You are so good for holding out til Monday – you know we’re all rooting for you

(BTW “rooting” means something else entirely here in Aus – most of us are probably doing that too, seeing as we’re on these boards – teehee!!!)

@hamikay:  Yay!! I am planning on the 21st as “The Day” but I know I will end up testing before that. So if no BFP by then then I will do my last test on the 21st!

@Izzy81:  haha, embrace being the early tester πŸ™‚ I’m too stingy to use the pee sticks (although i DO have a fair stack of them, coz i keep getting ‘bonus’ ones with my OPKs)

Well, just rang for my ultrasound appointment, expecting to have to wait… and it is tomorrow morning! shocked! but pleased πŸ™‚

@MRSLMA:  Wow!!! Congratulations! So exciting πŸ™‚

So I am finally convinced I am in my fertile week! I’ve had about 3 days of EWCM and ovulation cramping and lots of BD in the last few days. DH found out yesterday he has to go out of town for a business trip for 2 weeks(!!!!) and he’s leaving this afternoon. I hate that he has to be gone for so long, but timing wise, I don’t think it will put us out of the running for this cycle. I don’t know if I’ll be able to hold out until he gets home to test though. We’ll see! Fingers crossed that this month is lucky for us πŸ™‚
