I haven’t been on here in awhile. I decided that I would take the Clomid this month but beyond that I wasn’t doing anything else. I had already decided that after this cycle I wasn’t even going to temp. Next month would have been 1 year TTC and we’ve had a lot of struggles with PCOS and other infertility troubles.

My period was supposed to start 3 days ago, but I’m sick so I didn’t test right away 1. because I have PCOS and my cycles aren’t regular and 2. I thought that my sinus infection might have thrown off my cycle by a couple days. I decided to test this morning and there’s no doubt in my mind that’s a BFP!! I’ll give hubby his present tonight (it’s a Being a Father for Dummies or something like that book). It’s going to be a long 8 weeks of not telling anyone.

SadieBee:  I’m going to get some to start taking. Any suggestions on where to get it? I know I can get it on amazon but are all the brands pretty much equal?

Andthepupmakes3:  We are doing well, thanks for asking! ๐Ÿ™‚ Sore boobs, sensitive smell, and so.much.peeing.

I had a blood test yesterday (4 weeks & 4 days), and have an HCG level of 1352. That sounded fine to me until the nurse said “so that should put you at 2-3 weeks.” And I said “from ovulation right?” thinking…how would that level put me at 2 weeks pregnant, which is basically when you ovulate. And she asked when I ovulated (July 3), and then said “yeeeah….I guess…it could be 3-4 weeks too…” What? So now I feel all worried even though based on my own reading and my obessive googling of HCG levels, I think I have nothing to worry about. I have to get more bloodwork done tomorrow to make sure its doubling (something I think they do at this office when someone has had a previous miscarriage), so we’ll see.

SadieBee:  Thanks, it’s nice to hear confirmation from others that she is wrong. It’s a little unsettling that she would get confused about that difference (especially after I explicitly asked about it) since she’s a nurse at an OBGYN/midwives office….hopefully she’s just having an off day.

Magpie86:  You’re right 2-3 weeks sounds way off. What cycle day did you ovulate? Maybe you should double check with a doctor just to make sure. Best of luck!

Black_bird:  Thank you!  It appears I totally missed your BFP so congrats to you too!!!  I’m actually estimated to be an April 15 mama…. but I will probably wait until a week after my period is due to roll call there.  Just not quite ready to call this one stuck yet….

Magpie86:  Symptoms are good!!! Yay!  And yeah, all I seem to read is that the count doesn’t quite matter as much as the fact of it doubling or not.   FX!!!!
