Hi fellow July bees! I cant belive our weddings are so soon. Like lots of you, we are getting married July 14.
I can not figure out colors to save my life!! I love all colors and dont want to limit myself, but I relize we need some sort of color scheme to ensure everything comes together.
The bridal party will be in shades of grey – from charcol to light grey.
We are having a relaxed but elegant outdoor ceremony with a fun reception at a latin restaurant.
I was thinking yellow, green and grey, but that didnt really seem like us. I love navy and cobalt, and thought a chartruse, navy and grey pallate would work, but that doesnt give us many options for the flowers.
What are you guys doing? Any ideas??

I’m doing navy, lime green and white …. I guess I’m also doing tan and grey (as odd as that sounds) as my “nuetrals”.

Navy is the main color, with hopefully some turquoise, blush, and ivory thrown in. The flowers will be white and shades of pink.

My colors are Navy and yellow with white/grey accents. The groom/groomsmen are wearing grey suits.
I really like the navy, chartreuse and grey… you could always do white flowers with accents in it.

We wanted bright colours, so we chose teal and hot pink.

Wow, I am having the exact same issue right now. July. Various shades of grey/neitral Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. Relaxed, outdoor ceremony. Need an accent color. Thanks for posting! 🙂 (Right now I’m thinking pale pink & white, but that’s mainly because I found a pale pink flower girl dress that I like…. 🙂

We love all colors as well if you have such a neutral bridesmaid color you can do rainbow bouquets that will really pop and bring in some unique colors, if you love navy than that mixed with the grey and beautiful POPs of color would look very special. With an outdoor ceremony you have to remember that you will have natural colors added to your enviroments, greens and blues…. bright pops of color will just emphasize the beauty around you.
Our colors are royal blue and lime green but each bridesmaid is carrying a different color bouquet which then will be matched to her dates boutinere. I didn’t want to limit the girls potentials my MaidOH and MatronOH and myself will all have a mixture of all the other girls colors. (yellow, light pink, purple, white, orange and red). I even let the girls select which color realy spoke to them.
Hope this helps!

I love yellow gray and green together. Those are acutally the colors I gave my Bridesmaid or Best Man who is hosting my shower to go off of!

Since I am ‘down under’ July is our winter so ours is a bit cozy. I dont have a ‘theme’ but being its winter and we are in a wine region the trend is purple and candlelight. I dont have any flowers other than my bouquet which is dried lavender, but I do have around 300 candles and 2 open fireplaces which should set the mood.
Maid/Matron of Honor dress is eggplant purple, I have royal purple shoes, a dark purple petticoat and we have a chocolate brown and lavender cupcake tower. The boys may have purple shirts (depends on how they feel when buying them, I will let them decide). Everything else is cream/ivory/brown. We have wine barrels and are getting married in a decking over a lake so we dont need a lot of decoration 🙂

- Wedding: July 2012 - Parkwood International Golf Course
@Bears-bub Your wedding sounds beautiful 🙂
I couldn’t choose between colours. It will be winter here so I wanted something bright which led us to choose 10 colours 😛 Red, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, light blue, dark blue, pink, purple, silver! We are having a “colourful” wedding.
The bridesmaids are wearing purple and the groomsman have black suits with silver ties. The bouquets are white tissue paper flowers with rainbow origami flowers.
At the reception we have ten tables with a different colour per table. The linen is white but all the accents ie favour, centrepiece, chair sashes etc are in that table’s colour.
I can’t wait to see it all come together 🙂

Orange. Orange is our primary color with accents of several other bright happy summery colors (hot pink, yellow, purple, blues)

- Wedding: July 2012 - Walnut Beach Resort
My favorite colour is blue so I had to go with it even though it’s technically a winter colour!~ I ended up with teal, aqua and a grass green to make it sort of summery! It’s a beach theme so it all makes sense I guess..
