After viewing so many beautiful halo settings on here, I became so enchanted with them:) I loved my solitaire when I got it – I chose it for its classic elegance and timlesness. Well, I just spent 2 weeks in the hospital for treatment for organ rejection (transplanted kidney) and my Fiance surprised me with a white sapphire halo ring. It was supposed to be a RHR, I am in LOVE!! It is white gold with white natural saphires and a 1 ct (6.5mm) white natural center stone. Sapphire is my birthstone. I am seriously thinking of having my diamond p;aced in the ring as the center stone……although the white sapphire is just as lovely (I cant tell the difference between the sapphire and my diamond). I would assume any decent jeweler could set it, right? I think I would purchase another matching white sapphire and have them made into earrings?? That way I could wear all the stones and my ering would have both my birthstone and my diamond. I am amazed at how the halo sets off the center stone and makess it look so much more blingy. I figure if I keep the platinum setting, I can always have it reset back into it when/if the halo craze leaves my brain. Opinions? Anyone ever have something like this done?
