Skittles131:  ugh, so much stuff! We have 4-5 meetings already set up for this week…it literally can NOT get any more busy!

We still need to:

finalize flowers (see Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquet in person!)

table numbers assembly

print all signage (Instagram sign, bar signs, etc)

all bridal fittings

find bridal earrings

pack bags for honeymoon

set final timeline for entire day

make “thank you” favors for bachelorette party

and I’m sure a million more things.  Definitely following to make sure I haven’t missed anything:)

June 14th! Less than a month now!!

We just have to confirm final numbers with the caterer and rental company, build our giant Jenga game, sew beanbags for our beanbag toss, buy alcohol, have my final fitting, and have my mom’s final fitting. We don’t really have that much left to do – the main stuff will be the week before the wedding doing all of the set up and logistical stuff. Our wedding is in my parents’ field so we can start setting up on the 11th 🙂 it really takes some of the pressure off.

Mine is June 21st, and even though we’ve been engaged since March ’13, we just set the date back in April. Ours is an informal 30 person backyard wedding at a friends’ house so the venue is taken care of, we just need to get the details taken care of.

I have my dress already hanging in my closet (although I didn’t actually buy it until two weeks ago off the rack – it was on clearance, yay). I’m a bargain bride, I’ll admit it. I’m also a procrastinator and it took me FOREVER to find the right dress but when I did it was perfect. We are paying for the wedding ourselves and want everything to be as simple as possible. Seriously, we will be having pizza, wings, and beer. (Some champagne and cake too, so not all redneck, no worries!) An old friend of mine who is a photographer is taking the pictures, I’m getting decorations at my local Dollar Tree, and our dog will surely be running around muddying everything up. I didn’t want everything to be all precious and perfect, I wanted it to be a fun, messy, not have to wear shoes event if I so choose to take them off.

But all that being said, even my laid back wedding is starting to stress me out when I think about all the details that need to be taken care of. I’m not a detail-oriented person, I’m much more of a big picture type of girl. Luckily, my fiance is more detail oriented so he brings me back to earth on things and works out the kinks.

I still have tons of stuff to do – maybe not nearly as much as some of you other girls, but for me it’s a lot! I still have to buy my hair piece, makeup, jewelry, decorations for our centerpieces that I’m DIY-ing, get our cake ordered and our catering ordered, write our vows, meet with our photographer and meet with our officiant (also a friend – a co-worker of my FH). And probably some extra things in there too that I haven’t even thought about that I am sure will pop up like the day before!

It’s starting to freak me out that I really only have this week, next week, and the week after to get all this stuff done! I knew it would be crunch time setting a date only two months ahead of time but I’ve been planning lowkey for the last year. Just didn’t realize…oh well. I work better under pressure! That’s always been my motto! And I know nothing will go as planned, and things will go wrong and that will just make the day even more memorable and funny.

I am mostly just excited to be off and have a great mini-honeymoon (we’re staying local and going to an amusement park nearby) with my soon-to-be-husband. So right now I’m a bundle of nerves and excitement as I imagine the rest of you ladies are as well!  Good luck to everyone!
