Hi Ladies! I just thought I would get our June 20th date going and ask how far along everyone is in the planning process? So far I have just about all of our vendors booked. The last thing I have to do in that department is find someone to do mine and my wedding party’s hair. Our Save the Dates were sent out a few weeks ago. Of course i have about 1,000 little DIY things left to do!
Where are you in your planning process?

Hurray June 20, 2009!!! 🙂 We have almost all of our vendors booked as well. We just need to ‘seal the deal’ with our cake person and find someone to do hair/makeup. I’ve ordered my dress, but we’re still looking around for Bmaids dresses. We have several Bmaids who might be preggers at the wedding, so we’re holding off on ordering those as long as possible….. I’ve been planning tons of DIYs too! Hopefully I can start tackling those while I’m off work for the holidays! 🙂

Hi girls! I’m June 20 too! All of our vendors are picked out, we’re just waiting on a contract from the DJ. My dress is here, and my fittings start in January, because I have bridals in February. I’m about to start working on putting the invitations together. My DIY projects include all the stationary, centerpieces, food, ceremony decor, flowers, Mini’s dress (maybe), Out of Town Bags, photo charms for my bouquet, bathroom baskets, photo slide show, favors, omg the list keeps going.

Another June 20 bride here! All of our vendors are booked with the exception of the limo/transportation which we haven’t even thought about yet. My dress is in, my bridesmaids dresses will be ordered in the next week, save the dates went out a few weeks ago. I’m designing our invitations now (almost done!) and plan to DIY all the stationery (invites, menu cards, place cards, table numbers, etc), Out of Town bags, photos for the cake table, the guest book and whatever else I come up with in the coming months…

Sounds like we’re all around the same place in the planning process. Hopefully that means we’re all on track! My DIY projects include:
Save the Dates
Table Numbers & Escort Cards
Out of Town Bags
Gifts for Moms & Bridesmaids
I’m sure I will come up with more as I go!
The dress is in but I’m not sure when I’m going to start my fittings yet. The bridesmaids ordered their dresses long ago from Ann Taylor when they were on super sale. Only one needs minor adjustments and her mom is able to do that.

I’m a June 19 bride, and being engaged for only two months am still feeling a little overwhelmed with everything there is to do! I just ordered my dress last week. Reserved the ceremony and reception locations and caterers. I have a photographer but still trying to decide on videographers.
We are DIYing
- all stationery (invitations, excort cards, programs, menus)
- my veil
- flowers (EVERYTHING! centerpieces, bouquets, corsages, ceremony decor)
- out of town baskets
- candy bar/buffet
But that is just at this point! I’m sure there will be more to come!

We are almost done with our vendors, just decided on a dj and are finalizing catering choices (geez I never knew this was going to be the hardest vendor- American and Indian cuisine makes it harder). Our sample invite from etsy is on its way. I have my dress and I am just waiting to get closer to the wedding for fitting and the bridesmaid dresses have been ordered.
DIY- Programs, favors, pomanders, pew decor, bridal party gifts and other stuff I can’t remember.

So I sound clueless on here.. but I guess that ‘s what you get for only being engaged for less than a month. But how do you DIY invites?? Are there websites you used?
Can you show my pics of the moss things you used?? love that idea.

Wow so I thought I was pretty far in the planning process but not compared to everyone here! Though I do plan events and weddings for a living so I have a ton of stuff done and if its not, I already know what vendors I will be using, what the favors will be, etc.
Heres a list of who I have contracted already:
- photographer (that was the first thing I did about a week after I got engaged!)
- DJ and lighting
- of course the venue
- rental company for my linens and chiavari chars.
I just ordered my dress about a month ago, it will be here in March. I am doing my hair and makeup trials in early January and going to look and order invitations and order the Bridesmaid dresses in mid January as well. I dont have too many DIY projects, just the table numbers, menus and escort cards.

We also have all of our vendors contracted other than rehearsal dinner site. Save the Dates went out on Friday. My dress and bridesmaid dresses have already arrived.
I am doing a lot of DIY projects: invites, programs, table numbers, escort cards, boxes for favors, damask table runners, earrings for bridesmaids, bathroom baskets, guestbook.
I’m heat embossing my invites with a damask pattern. I had 1/2 of them (60) embossed when I realized that they read "Mrs. and Mrs." 4+hours of work for nothing. I’m just a tad bit frustrated with that project right now.

Im a June 20th bride also! Before the holidays I felt that we were doing great and on track for everything. I havent really done anything wedding related since Turkey Day. Im going back at it after Christmas though! We really do have alot figured out. We have the location for the ceremny and reception, DJ booked, and cake ordered. My dress is in, but we still need to order bridesmaids. I was told by DB that we didnt need to order those till Jan. Same with the tuxs. Im doing the flower and invites myself and also the favors. We know what cater we want, we still need to book them though. Thats my first to do item after Christmas! We are doing pretty much everything ourselves.

We have all of our vendors booked except transportation and we’re finalizing the cake after Christmas. I ordered my dress but it won’t be in until April and I’m currently in the process of getting my Bridesmaid or Best Man info to order dresses by the end of the month. I’m not doing a ton of DIY but I’m in the process of putting together some ceremony decor and I’m looking into doing linens.

I have a lot of stuff done. I have my ceremony/reception nailed down (they cater themselves), we decided to not hire a DJ, we have picked our photographer, I have my dress and have picked out the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. I have bought a lot of my decor items…still lots to do there, I have made my save the dates, have purchased my invites (just need to print them), have hired a friend to make my cake…..GAH so much. I’m going to my cousin’s wedding on 01/01/09 and plan on getting some ideas of do’s and don’ts!!!
