@araneidae:  Congrats!! So glad the make-up ultrasound was better for you! Haha I always drink less than they say to because they just want you to have a full bladder, but if I drink what they recommend it is wayyy too painful!

@dreamocracy:  Amen to that, I’ll even take a high 7 lb-er. DH was 10lbs and I was high 8’s so… anything “normal” size is what I’m wishing for!

@MrsSawyer:  Oh no! Yeah I was 2 weeks late, so I was 8lbs I believe, and my DH was big too! Scared of pushing out a big baby haha. My nephew was 10lbs and my SIL was so miserable after the delivery.. she couldn’t walk around very well for a few weeks!

Before we started TTC I was always in the camp that I would get an epidural as soon as they would let me get one but once we actually started trying for a baby I started to get this urge to try to deliver naturally. The urge has been getting stronger as my pregnancy goes on, but I’m still keeping my mind open to an epidural if the pain is too unbearable or if my labor goes on for many many hours and is too exhuasting.

I have a very real fear of tearing/episiotomy (I know, of all the things to be scared of that is my numberone!) so that’s probably my main hang up with getting an epidural because it limits positioning which can limit your options for promoting a tear-free birth so I started doing research on positions that can be used in hospital with an epidural.

For any bees getting an epidural, or who are considering it but are worried about positioning I found this youtube video which I found helpful if you’re worried about lack of positions.

@anotherbee:  yes I can totally relate. For some reason I am way more bloated/gassy/uncomfortable at night. Unfortunately that’s the only time I am hungry, too!

@MrsSawyer:  Good news about the episiotomy: I was reading in (I think) my what to expect new edition and most doctors don’t do this anymore routinely! there’s been no proof that it ‘has’ to be done as part of a normal birthing process so many doctors opt to go without. I was worried about this, too until I read this isn’t as normal as it was 10 yrs ago.

I did the predictor thing, and it better be wrong! haha! He is all boy, and I absolutely can’t have him on the 19th of May. That’s my sister’s wedding day! I’m already bummed about having to miss her wedding. I had to step down as Maid/Matron of Honor because its a 9 hour drive each way and its 2 weeks on the dot from my due date 🙁

I really hope my baby isn’t almost two weeks late! That’s a long time to wait. Plus, I already know it’s a boy, so that part isn’t right.
