@katza:  let us know how the bloodwork goes! I can only imagine the anxiety you would be going through after that loss

My appointment is in half an hour…..bladder is full for my ultra sound….hopefully I can hold it! Lol I’ve had way too much water

@katza:  I hope your bloodwork goes well and can help to put your mind to ease!  Ttc is such a crazy journey.  You can have perfect timing and get bfns or think you’re out and get your bfp!

@mrsw88:  so happy things are opening!

So I had blood work, internal and external ultra sound. They didn’t do the hsg today though…..but I’m fairly certain she said they’d do it today. It’s now booked for July 4. They’re gonna call me today and based on the results, I’ll have to go back sometime next week for more tests

@mrsw88:  yay!  That is great that you finally have a follow-up appt!  I’m glad things are starting to open!

@itsme1987:  I hope your results come back good!  That kind of stinks that you need to wait for the SHG after getting yourself mentally ready, but that’s great that you already have it scheduled!

@itsme1987:  that’s frustrating about the hsg, especially as you were psyched up and mentally prepared, but you’ve got started so you are on your way to answers. I hope you get some great results and it’s just case of needing more time.

@morecookiesplease:  I’m relieved to be finally moving forward!

I got a bfn today at 12dpo and my cramps have started already so I think I’m out and AF will be here over the weekend. On to cycle 12 but hopefully the start of getting some answers. It still blows my mind that I could conceive in cycle one, go through everything that we did and then still be trying a year later. It feel like adding insult to injury, as if what happened with our first baby wasn’t bad enough. Sometimes it just feels so unfair…

That’s the end of my self pity rant for today. I’m trying really hard to focus on the positive next steps.

@mrsw88:  sorry about your BFN. That really is adds insult to injury. I can only imagine the pain of losing a babe and then being unable to get pregnant again for so long. I’m so glad you get to move forward with testing too. My fingers are crossed your clinic helps and you get you sticky bean soon

I’m out for June. AF came one day early, so this cycle was 26 days. I had a peak OPK on CD 19, with pretty convincing left sided ovulation pain the same day. Is 6-7 days enough time for a fertilised egg to successfully implant before AF starts and sheds the lining of my uterus? I don’t know why I am ovulating late in my cycle, and so close to AF starting. This was our seventh month trying. I know that’s not super long, but I’m trying to look for answers as our timing and frequency of BD has been very good.

@mrsw88:  I’m sorry about the bfn and sorry that you’re going through this 🙁. Losing a baby is unfair enough, it is really really unfair that you have to deal with so many months of trying afterwards.  I hope you can find a good way to relax this weekend and get ready to hopefully get some answers next cycle.  ❤️

@nightowl:  I’m sorry about the bfn 🙁. I think that luteal phases 6-7 days are shorter than ideal.  Even if you aren’t quite at a year of ttc, you could talk to your doctor if you think something is off and see if they suggest a referral to a specialist or any testing.  I went to my ob/gyn after 4 cycles of active charting/great timing since I was getting mid-cycle spotting and felt like something was off.  Even though technically I should have waited 6 months for a referral since I’m over 35, my doctor gave me a referral then since I knew my cycles and that our timing was good.  I didn’t get an appt until 6 cycles anyways since there was a waiting list for new appts, but if I had waited until 6 months to ask for a referral I wouldn’t have gotten an appt until months later.  So long story short, if you feel like something is off, you could talk to your doctor!  I hope you get your bfp soon! ❤️

So… question for the more experienced testers than I.  When should I retest if I have a positive, but it might have appeared beyond the test window?  I dipped the stick and then said eff it and got in the shower (I was hungry and figured it’d be negative anyway…?), came out and there’s a second line.  O.O  But it may well have been 10 minutes from testing to me looking at it.  So clearly I retest, but when?  Later today, tomorrow morning?  Both?

Tested again this morning.  There is something there, but it is soooooo light.  Yesterday’s is on top and this morning is on the bottom.

I’m not totally sure how many DPO I am – I didn’t OPK this month, and insomnia plus hot weather made it hard to get good temps around that time.  Based on the temp chart I did get, I’m guessing 10ish DPO.  I was only prompted to test by AF not coming when I expected yesterday morning (and a high temp instead of a low one) plus an oddly elevated heart rate during my run.  So, I guess I’ll wait and see what happens over the next few days!
