- Wedding: June 2011
Well bees, it’s taken a while but I’ve finally gotten my pictures back and am ready to share! In the interest of not completely overloading one post with pictures it’s in multiple parts. So…here they are!
Loved my dress and all of the accessories! The handkerchief belonged to my great grandmother and my mom carried it when she and my dad got married. My fiance and I started dating near the end of high school and went to prom together. One of my friends (a bridesmaid!) and I decided to make our own garters and my husband saved it! I found it and opted not to buy another for wedding day!
The rings! Both my e-ring and my wedding band are from Brilliant Earth. My husband’s band was not but they looked so much nicer in the boxes and were much easier to keep track of that way!
I didn’t go shopping to find a big dress…but low and behold it’s what I fell in love with! How many people does it take to tie up and carry one dress!?
Our groomsmen and ushers were all gifted ties to wear for the occasion. They looked great!
My niece was my junior bridesmaid. She’s 11 and it was hard to find a dress that didn’t make her look too childish yet not too grown up either. So to meet that in between ground we ordered extra fabric with the bridesmaids dresses and my mom made this dress for her!
We had the most delicious cake! Each tier was a different flavor combination. Top to bottom: Spice cake & cream cheese filling, vanilla cake & lemon filling, butter pecan cake & cream cheese filling (my favorite!), and chocolate cake & raspberry filling.
We added wedding pictures of our parents and grandparents as well as engagement photos to the guest table. It was so neat to see the generations on their wedding days!
Table decore was simple but still nice. We had combinations of tall and short centerpieces, silver chargers, votive candles, sage napkins, white table cloths and chair covers with pink sashes.
That’s all for now! Hope you enjoyed ladies!
