My deadline is today!!! We invited 121
Accetance so far: 52

I thought I would end up with about 100 people but I am expecting a few more regrets than I anticipated so I think we’ll end up about 80..i’m a but bummed 🙁

My deadline is May 10
Number responded so far:111
yes to Ceremony:80
Yes to Reception:54
I haven’t recorded about 6 reponses from yesterday.
I had to seperate the ceremony and reception because of the distance and we need a lot less people to show up to the reception since it will only hold 150 and we invited too many people but so far things are good. This is still a lot of people who haven’t responded and need to very soon. I gave my self a two week buffer to contact people before I need to let the caterer know how many people to feed.

We have approximately a 50% acceptance (of 135) with 10 RSVPs outstanding. Our deadline is May 15 so we shouldn’t have too many RSVPs still outstanding at that point. The acceptance rate is lower than expected but the destination nature of our wedding for my large family has made it difficult for some.
As far as the no-response, apparently, I’m not as irritated by this. The thing that I try to remember is our wedding is not as central a part of everyone’s lives and other people have things going on as well. I was reminded of this when I had send an email to a good friend kind of wondering whether he would be able to make it. He has so many things going on that weekend that I felt really guilty asking.

Any update on the folks who had to make all the phone calls?
Like many of you last week, at this point our deadline is next Monday (5/17) and we are still missing 50% of our RSVPs. There are 79 response cards still out there for 179 guests. From the looks of it, I will definitely be making some phone calls next week and my parents offered to help too.

Well ladies, I’m happy to report that I finally received all our RSVPs! We had to call/email/text some people, but everyone responded promptly… mostly with “ohmigosh, I’m sooooo sorry we didn’t respond earlier… blah blah blah”
But I am SO relieved that whole process is over! Phew!

Well it’s now 4 days past the RSVP date. I had to majorly harrass some people, especially friends, who just didn’t respond to texts or e-mails or voicemails. One girl had the audactiy to say “Oh right – when is it again?” I very politely told her not to worry about it and maybe we’d see her after.
Anyway, we ended up with:
11 of those are best guesses because I *still* haven’t heard from them yet! I didn’t think it would be this difficult or that I’d be this pissed about it, but I really am. Really.
73% though. Pretty much perfect and we ended up around 20 less than we anticipated, which will save my dad a pretty penny.

We’ve finally tracked our answers down for our may 22 wedding (the rsvp deadline was april 24th, and I got one in yesterday! blah) and here are our stats:
Not Attending: 48
We’re having a semi-destination wedding (about 2 hours away), so we expected some no’s, but this is still less than we were planning for. I wanted a small wedding, though, so I guess it’s okay.

I’ve almost gotten our guest list 100% firmed up, but I’ve had 2 guests RSVP “yes” then tell other people that they can’t come! When I’ve contacted them to check, they say “yeah, we decided that only X can come, and Y has to stay home for Z.” No apology, no letting ME know that they can’t come. And BOTH of them have gotten married recently, so you would think they’d understand how annoying that is. Oh well. Otherwise, our acceptance rates are almost exactly what we anticipated, which is awesome.
Wedding Date: May 22 (SO SOON!!!)
Acceptance Rate: 59%
About 80% of our guest list was from out of town (literally on the other side of the country), so we anticipated that it would be a little low, and planned for a 100 person wedding. We’re right on, and I’m SO happy that we’re not going over budget. Of course I’ll miss those that can’t make it, but we’ve got plans to celebrate with them later. 🙂

As of now, we’ve made some improvements and are waiting on a few more, partly because we have later RSVP deadlines for some people. We’re only waiting on a small number from people we wanted to hear from by May 1.
Of the ones we know, 73% acceptance rate. If I had to guess I’d say we’ll be around 140, but we might even be in the 130s and that’s fine with me! (This after we worried about overflow in our 160-person space). Looks like it’s going to turn out a very nice size (in my opinion for us). Just can’t wait to know an even better idea of the number soon!

I only have 2 “unknown” guests left (though their RSVP isn’t due yet….my Mother-In-Law forgot to invite some family members and we sent out the invite after the original deadline)
We are at:
NO RESPONSE: 2
77% acceptance, and we’re under what we originally thought, due to some surprising “no” responses. I’m sad that those people aren’t coming, but I’m a little excited for all the extra room we’re having. My venue is small, so fewer tables make me happy. (Though combining groups of 6 or 7 people into tables of 10 is driving me nuts!)

My deadline is the 28th. So far we have a 74% Acceptance Rate with 2 weeks left to RSVP.
156 No Responses still.
I sure hope they start coming in quicker!!!!
Our deadline was the 22nd, this past Saturday. We are at:
No Response: 73
That puts our acceptance rate at 72.5%, which is pretty good! We were hoping for not much more than 70% acceptance. I think the 73 we still have hanging out won’t stay at the same rate though – I except at least half of them to decline. Maybe we will get under 200! I have to say though, some of these declines were disappointing to receive. I’d rather go over 200 and add a few friends back in who aren’t able to make it!
Some of you know that we also had guests RSVP for our hosted after party, and right now that number is at 81. Our after party venue capacity is 100 at the very most, with using the patio. So cross your fingers that we only add a few more to this!!

My final stats:
Accepts: 134 (83%!!)
We’re very happy with our numbers. When we first started planning more than a year ago, we both agreed we wanted about 130-135 guests… looks like we hit our mark perfectly! 12 days and counting!
Our deadline was 5 days ago, and we did the whole calling/emailing thing (bleh!) yesterday because we had to send in a semi-final count today. Everyone we invited is scattered all across the country, so our rate is probably around 55% so far. We sent out a few more invites really late once we realized we had more space (our venue has a strict limit of 50 people), but it’s kind of embarrassing because we had to keep the original RSVP date on the RSVP card (we did a mad-lib like RSVP, and we’re displaying the responses at the reception). I wouldn’t want the “B team” to see they had a later response date than everyone else 🙂
And of course when we sent in the count today we suddenly realized we hadn’t included ourselves in the number. D’oh! Hey-we’ll be there too!
