Mmmm what about a teal? Or even a fuschia of some sort? If you love crimson, go for it. But with a beachfront wedding, you have a great opportunity to go very summery and tropical! πŸ™‚

I think that if you love crimson, go for it! You can always lighten it up with some accent colors that are lighter in the flowers/decorations (light blue, light green, pink, yellow).

Personally I think crimson could be kind of heavy for a June beach wedding, but maybe you could mix it with other shades of red/pink. If you like crimson, maybe you would like a lighter version of red – like watermelon or coral? I have similar coloring, and those colors also look good… here are a few different directions you could go:

    Lighter/brighter shades of red/coral/pink:

The last one has deeper colors (ignore the India theme :)), but I like it with the yellow/orange mixed in.

it’s your wedding. who cares if crimson is a dark and it’s a beach wedding? do what you love!

i like the idea of crimson because it will get you away from ending up with a beach-themed wedding, which i personally don’t love.

@MissBoston: There are so many shades of green that you can pretty much find something that works for anyone… and green looks lovely with so many other colors! A few more inspiration boards for ideas (I like the first & last ones – ocean colors – and the ladies could wear different shades of green/aqua/blue):

I totally just found this and I thought of this thread and thought I’d add it, it has the reds in it.

If you love crimson, go with that. It will look better simply because you will be more excited about it and pick better things along the way.

It won’t look wintery if you pick summer fabrics.

i know you said you like the crimson color, but i think navy and yellow are awesome beach colors..IMO.  I know if I were getting married by the water, I’d have chosen those colors.  but i also agree with theeekingeek that tangerine and aqua look awesome too. have fun πŸ™‚
