Personally, with my wedding 3 weeks away there are some things that i just let go…
I dont care about the parking situation, and the fact that people are going to be annoyed about it
I give up on trying to argue with my mom about inviting the neighbors, the mail man, her coworkers, the dog walker, the hobo down the street (you get the picture 😉 )
I dont care that we are having “fancy” paper napkins, and if anyone decided to complain they can leave.. lol
i REALLY dont care that we are not having china, but plastic china look alikes
Mybrother is going to invite all his little friends over after dinner… and i just dont care..
we are going to hav costco brand wine… oh well.. it gets the joib done..
I have just decided its going to be beautiful day, and guess what, even with all that suff, at the end of the ceremoney I WILL BE MARRIED!!! 🙂

I just think I have given up on the notion that I can please everyone!

@Kandiss16: Tell me more about Costco brand wine. I don’t drink so I can do a taste test myself. How much is it per bottle? Have you tried it? Is it more than drinkable (like OK?).
My niece’s wedding last year had the look-a-like china and the set up looked beautiful. No one said a thing and the wedding & reception was enjoyed by all (some a little too much

@wabanzi: Actually costco alcohol is pretty good, a lot more than just drinkable.. i just hate that some people are wine snobs.. cost co brand 1.5L bottles are 6.99 a piece.. cheaper than bevmo 5 Cent wine sale!

@Kandiss16: Thank you so much! My Father-In-Law make wine, but are limited on how much they can bring into the US, so we will only have enough for a toast and will need another wine option for the evening.
Many of my friends are absolute wine snobs, but we do what we can do. Fiance wants to do boxed wine, but I cringe at that. Although if it is good/decent that is fine with me (but if it is in a box, I want it served from a carafe).
Which do you think is their best red and white?
@wabanzi: I usually prefer red, i havnt tried thier white.. but i have never heard anything bad about it

@Kandiss16: Another date twin 🙂 We gave up on making our own backdrop for the head table at the reception. We also gave up on trying to make our own appies. I gave up on trying to get my sister to be a helpful bridesmaid, though she has been marginally more helpful in the last week or so.
We’re almost there and then it will all be over!

@Kandiss16: ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!
lol just kidding….um, we have no programs, and I dont care because no one will give a crap once they get to the reception and have a drink haha
its supposed to rain
The side seams on my dress that I paid $425 for in alterations are a bit lumpy….my mom says she can press it out, I no longer care.
the music for the ceremony…I used to care now I don’t, even though I loathe the thoughts of marching down the aisle to an organ playing the bridal march (it was supposed to be an electric guitar solo, but our guy couldn’t get it, boo!)
things just keep cropping up and I’m like yeah whatev’s, We are just going to head striaght into it and then honeymoon after! 😉

@wabanzi: Trader Joe’s wine is pretty darn good and it’s cheap too. I’m super picky about wine and I like theirs.

Oh my we have put so much work into getting a shuttle set up for our guests staying at a nearby hotel…we are in negotiations for price because they don’t actually offer it for events other than the wedding…then I realized all the guests at the hotel are FI’s groomsmen and they probably won’t even use the shuttle…so I fb’d them to find out who plans to use it, and so far 2 of 4 are NO, we have 2 more to hear from and one other guest room to figure out and if everyone says no we’re just gonna cancel it all together. I’m so tired of trying to get it setup and then to find out it’s not even wanted…grrr…and if we do use it it’s going to cost us almost $500 extra. So wish we hadn’t started down this rabbit hole LOL!

@candief: I have heard that, but there isn’t one here & our state laws prohibit mail/Internet alcohol orders. Thanks for the suggestion though. If you have other brand ideas, I’m grateful for the advice.

Umm maybe all these DIY crafts that I wanted to do to personalize my wedding. I am finding them to be more expensive then need be, so I don’t care.
Flowers! I started off wedding planning 8 months ago not caring, then I started caring more to the point were I wanted a big lush bouquet.
Now looking at the final payments we have to make to all the vendors this month on credit card and in cash, I no longer care about that!
From the beginning I cared about purchasiong quality decor that I could resell again to get the most out of it, I really was on the look out for the large 24″ vases for the sides of the aisle. I found some for a crazy price, I just need to drive a hour (city traffic). Now I don’t care.
I cared about making nice escort cards or a fancy seating chart. Now I don’t care so I am resorting to ushurs with a guest list and table numbers so the guests can be escorted(I actually like this idea, more personal).

@wabanzi: I actually watched a CostCo documentary and the process they go through to select their wines (any of their alcohols, really) is quite strenuous. They have this one lady, can’t remember her name, who is super powerful in the wine world. She has a small panel and they sit around and critique the hell out of these wines that they are sampling from all over the world. The wineries who get the contracts are pretty much set for life, so they want to do a great job. Basically, long story short, CostCo wine is actually quite good!
