Hi June bugs!
With only days (or weeks) to go, some of us may be staring at weather websites/apps for hours, trying to figure out what weather it will be. Or not. Maybe you’re cooler than me and can relax and let it go. I know you should, because you have absolutely no influence on it whatsoever, but here I am, checking the weather two or three times a day.
If you know it, share it:
What’s your wedding weather forecast?
We are getting married in the Netherlands, known for its unpredictable weather, often rainy. Our date is June 20th, and we took a risk by wanting to have our ceremony outside. Right now, the forecasts aren’t great (50% chance of rain, with an average temperature between 10 and 18 degrees Celcius (that would be 50 and 64 degrees Fahrenheit for you US bees). So not much chance of having a ceremony outside. We can easily decide on the day of the wedding whether we want to have an inside or outside ceremony at our venue so at least that’s good. I just really hope it won’t rain!

Rain in the morning and evening. Hopefully the afternoon will be clear and beautiful 🙂

91 and sunny. 😳 Yeah I am kind of freaking out a bit. Lol. Everything is indoors and all AC but out pictures are outside. The wedding starts at 3 so hopefully it will cool down quickly.

raeofsunshine: That’s pretty much the exact forecast and situation for us. I am going to melt in my dress during the pictures lol

I got married last weekend and the weather was PERFECT!! It was sunny and about 68-70 all day. I had freaked out about the weather for like two weeks prior – my advice is NOT to look at anything weather-related until you’re only a few days out. It changed SO many times, it was really toying with my emotions.
I used both AccuWeather and Weather.com for extended forecasts.

9 more days for us and the forecast in Northern Italy is cloudy with light showers! I’m keeping everything crossed for a dry ceremony as we really want it outdoors.

SellyJo: ooh wow you’re getting married in northern Italy? Wow! Where? I secretly wanted to do a destination wedding there too but we decided on doing our wedding close to home and having a honeymoon in Italy. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for good weather for you. I know how you feel. It keeps getting worse with the forecast for our day. 60 percent chance of rain now. Nooo.

Our post elopement reception was on June 6th. We had planned to take a dinner cruise around the lake for a few hours so I was really watching the weather closely. We had a back up room inside the restaurant for “just in case” since if the weather was bad we wouldn’t be able to the boat out. The weather forecast for our reception day was 90 degrees, 100% humidity, 30 mph wind, and severe thunderstorms With hail. There was actually a tornado watch/warning going on that evening too (which I also didn’t concern myself over).
Honestly, it so isnt worth it to worry too much about what’s out of your control. I just woke up, got my hair done in a firm updo with lots of anti humidity spray, packed umbrellas, and powdered my self head to toe with gold bond (to kee cool in my dress). I also packed a knee length ivory dress in case I got too hot. We made the most out of the day and everyone had a blast! Most of the guests spent the majority of the time on the top deck of the boat enjoying the breeze and open bar. We were just lucky that the really severe weather held off until the exact moment the boat got back to the dock. It all works out at the end of the day!

sfp: Oh my goodness, the 10 day forecast almost drove me to drink! It changed not only daily, but from morning to night. We had an outdoor ceremony and with as few as the final days leading up to our wedding date in the morning, the chances of rain would be as low as 10% and by nightfall, it would be as high as 80%. I was so stressed by it!
My wedding day was gorgeous though! It sprinkled rain for a few minutes while we were getting ready, but by the time the ceremony started the day was amazingly gorgeous without a rain cloud in the sky. I only know about the sprinkles because someone told me about it at the time.

We are getting married 6/26, so nothing available yet. However, I am already stressing, especially after how hot my dress felt when I was at my last fitting. I am hoping for beautiful weather– and cool enough we can be outside as planned at 5:30. I keep checking the 10 day then try to project out what it will be like on our day.

We are getting married on June 27th in British Columbia. The 14-day trend says high of 28 degree Celcius (82 Farenheit) and 40% chance of rain at some point. I’m not overally concerned about the rain, as it’s still 13 days away and the forecast can change and it rarely rains there this time of year. Fingers crossed though for a beautiful sunny day that’s not TOO hot!

Stressing. Our 3pm sailboat elopement for tomorrow was just rescheduled for 10am due to thunderstorms. I’m really hoping the weather man Is wrong.
